The numbers are in for Aaron Rodgers new deal, and as expected it makes him the highest-paid player in history. The deal is 5 years, $110 million. However, he still has 2 years and $19.75 million remaining on his current deal, so in terms of average salary he's not the highest paid QB as he'll average $18.53 million over the next 7 years, less than Flacco, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees.

According to Chris Mortensen Rodger's salary cap number never goes above $21 million during the deal, so it's not inconcievable he could actual play the entire deal out. Often with these big contracts both sides know that the deal won't get played out without a restructuring/extension, like how the Ravens and Joe Flacco will have to restructure/extend his deal after 3 seasons because his salary cap number in 2016 will be almost $29 million.
