"The technical demands of presenting 3-D cinema and the increasing difficulty of finding prints means that for many of the films presented, this may be the last time they are ever screened in this format" says producer and programmer Jeff Joseph.
Creature and Dial M are safe. Hope all the rest are scanned and remastered for Blu-ray 3D.

Jaws 3D is screening in digital RealD, so there may be truth to the rumor that Universal had it ready for Blu but had to put the sequel boxset on hold.

The "newer" restorations (like Miss Sadie Thompson, The Stewardesses and some recent Russian rarities) have now been mastered in digital, so they're that much more likely to turn up at some point--Even a studio that's interested in release still has to put up the cost of the mastering, and that's the biggest hurdle if it hasn't been done yet.
(Everything else at the Expo, except for Hondo, were just film-print restored, and showing in old-fashioned dual-projector polarized.)

Nice collection of classic 3D films. Good to see this happening.

So are they installing a silver screen into the Egyptian for this then? the Egyptian's screen is a not a silver screen.

Really wish this was taking place at the Chinese, Hondo3D durring TCM Fest looked beautiful in theatre1 as Dial M3D for Murder last October.

Presumably--Most of the other movies are showing in standard dual-projector polarized, so silver screens are a given.
One thing that killed them off in the 80's was not being able to have the installed screen in the same theater for a week, and this engagement's not going anywhere.

Not included in the pics at the top but nevertheless will still be shown are Inferno and The Glass Web (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0045825/ ) among others.

Plus, for the camera geeks, the surviving 1953 Natural Vision camera rig will be on display in the lobby.
