Beer League - Blu-ray Forum

Beer League is not supposed to come out until Tuesday right? Somehow I managed to see a copy out on the shelf at Newbury Comics yesterday. Not only that, it was only $7.99. Someone messed up I guess. So of course I had to grab it. Even though the reviews of the movie itself werent all that great, I thought it was a good find, and in my opinion was hilarious.

This is the Artie Lange movie right? At that price, it's worth a blind buy. It'd cost me nearly that to rent it....stupid hollywood video, jacking up Blu-ray rental prices...

I believe that is Artie Lange's Beer League. I was surprised when I first heard that it was coming to Blu-Ray. I saw the movie when it was released on SD DVD. I did not like it much, although there were some funny parts.

I really wanted to like it since I am a HUGE Howard Stern fan and I think Artie is funny as hell on the show. However, the movie just didn't do much for me.

i saw the uncut version late nite on comeddy central, i thought it was good. Really racy & funny @ the begginning , but drop off towards the end.

Sounds like nearly every comedy of the last 20 years (with the exception of The Naked Gun..)

Its not like beerfest. Beer League, in simple terms, is about a bar league softball team. I liked it. I do not have a legal copy of the movie, so when i saw the blu on amazon for 8.95 i had to jump on it. I can't wait to get it.

I ordered it from Amazon. I saw part of it on Comedy Central a while back and it was pretty funny. I figure for like $9 why not.

Any extra features on the blu-ray version? I was thinking of picking it up but would like to know how it compares to the DVD version (ie. did they port over the extra features).

Its only 7.99 So please no complaints or gripes about the PQ and AQ it is what it is

where does it have it listed for 7.99 i c it for 10 but not that cheap.

Check the OP... Newbury Comics.

Even $9.95 on Amazon is cheap. I for one am not going to add this to the collection. Watched the DVD as a rental, thats about enough!

It looks like it has the same extra features as the dvd version. based on amazons write up.

Last week, a caller told Artie on the show that he was looking forward to the Blu-ray release of Beer League, and Artie replied, "what is Blu-ray?"

Interesting how his people don't keep him informed of the marketing of his own film.
