Yea, I guess you're right. Unless I'm mistaken, Lionsgate has owned each of the films all along. There should be no rights issues with the commentaries and extras. Their BD release of the original film is pathetic, I can't believe they went with both a bare bones release and the theatrical cut.

The first film while missing tons of features is mislabeled though, it is the unrated cut despite saying otherwise. That was figured out in some thread here recently, maybe the better blus in better regions or US blus missing extras thread. The runtimes are the same when they shouldn't be. Not sure why 1 and 3 got shafted but 2 was done well. Just glad I got em all cheap and 1 was free.
I've seen all of them in theaters and LG logo was there every time, just in front of Twisted Pictures.

Talk about expensive! €69.98 = about $90 according to Bing. Are all of these in English and have English menus and stuff? I doubt I'll ever get it with that price tag though.

Saw III looks stupid in that set being the only blue spine haha.

This past Halloween best buy/walmart had each title for around 4.99 so I caved. Really wanted a boxset, but these will do

Yeah, it's kind of pricey but it's been as low as €54 lately. Then you get about 1/6 off with VAT removed so it's about €45.00. But granted, shipping from Amazon France is expensive. You can lower shipping cost per item by buying multiple items at a time.

The films are in English and they do not have forced French subtitles. I don't remember if there are English menus but French menus are not difficult to navigate.

I thought for a pretty long time about whether to get the set but it is far superior to any other and I think it was worth it.

I've actually heard that the individual releases differ from those in the 1-7 collection set... can you confirm that the discs in the 1-7 set are the same as the individual releases?
This is the box set I'm talking about https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Saw-Blu-ray/19386/

Cmon really let down by lions gate here

No good reason there isn't a box set for this

I don't like them enough to devote 7 spaces on the shelf for them but I would give up 2

May have to do a custom artwork and just build one

Thumbs down This is getting boring, Lionsgate...

Agreed. This is getting really annoying. We finally got boxsets for Nightmare on Elm St., Friday the 13th, and Chucky, but we still need them for Saw, Halloween, and Texas Chainsaw (as far as horror franchises go). While the latter two could get a little dicey with all the reboots, sequels, prequels, etc., the Saw set should be real easy and straightforward. They're already on blu, so what's the freakin' hold up here? Doesn't Lionsgate realize that there's lots of movie collectors out there that hold off on individual releases in favor of more concise boxset collections later on (ala LOTR/Hobbit EEs)? Money to be made folks!!

I would like to see a box set that includes all of the various cuts for each film. Each movie had a director's cut when released on DVD, and I think part 3 had 3 cuts (theatrical, director's cut, and extended cut). I also liked the ending to part 4 in the theatrical cut more, but that was removed for the video release.

Found both 1 and 4 at a pawn shop and would love to have them all. Would love to have a cool custom case to put them all in if there is no plans for a boxset.

+1
50 gig discs are big enough to hold the different cuts of films and the extras..
Seems like the first time a company isn't trying to have fans double dip

The only country that has the 2hr cut of Saw III is France and it's listed as "Extreme Director's Cut". I've been meaning to import it for some time. Someone did PM me not too long ago about if the theatrical cut to Saw IV is out anywhere, I don't believe it is. Canada has the theatrical cut of Saw VI on Blu-ray. I found at a local Meijer's about a year or so ago and I am very happy with the transfer. It was done by Maple Pictures which was Lionsgate's Canadian base of operations before they folded and sold it to Alliance. Which, coincidentally, they sold themselves to eOne Entertainment.

Funny, People here are saying they want a Saw BD set and are holding off buying the BD's single releases... I hold off on box sets sometimes, I prefer single releases to a box set any old day.

I'd love to see a 10th anniversary box set come out this fall... each film having every possible cut (2 for most of them, 3 for Saw III), as well as new extras. There are photos/b-roll footage that show deleted/alternate scenes for Saw IV and V that I'd love to see, including an extended ending for the fifth film. But at this point, I'm not holding my breath... I've got all seven in their solo blus anyway, and I only have the first film as the bonus disc with Saw VI

Is there a good comparison reference for these. I own the singles on Blu but I can't recall the differences from theatrical.

Yes there is, if you mean differences in the cuts:

For those who are fans of the Saw franchise, should already have all of the movies on blu-ray by now, whether if they released a boxset or not! These films has been released on blu-ray for years.
