Quinn is a never-ending joke with me and my girlfriend. The character has been completely useless since he arrived. Further to that...perhaps the biggest problem with the show as a whole is that there are no characters whose story or motives are even close to as interesting as Dexter's. I feel the later seasons have stripped away the elements that made Dexter Morgan so compelling in the early years.

The first, second and fourth seasons are some of my favorite television drama seasons ever. I think as Dexter gradually becomes more sympathetic and less deliberately sociopathic, the show loses its charm.
