I know why your HDTV cable looks better than blu-rays. HD cable, like the grammy's, the night show, etc are shot with actual HD digital cameras. So you get that ridiculously crisp, sharp picture. Your blu-rays are shot on standard film, naturally, so they have a "film" look. Even though I love watching things like the grammys in HD, I couldn't imagine a full movie in Digital HD.
On a side note, you want the HD look you get from cable on a blu-ray? Buy a concert (dave matthews) or Planet Earth filmed with an HD digital camera. Edit:after seeing the three movies you have seen on blu-ray, I think seeing cars, ratatioulle, or any pixar/disney animated film will work as well. Last edited by LUkassZ; 03-29-2008 at 05:26 PM. |
