My dream wishlist from Scream Factory sure is getting short!

Body Bags and Prince of Darkness were both on there, along with the already released The Video Dead.

I'd die to have a SF treatment for the first two Romero Dead films, and other than that? I can die a happy man. :P

I want GHOULIES/GHOULIES II on bd with special features!!!
Same goes for TROLL. I loved these films growing up as a kid. Love to get any kind of new interviews with cast and crew.

Please SF release a definitive edition of KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE!!!! I want all the deleted scnes found from th tv version. I want a kick ass new artowrk and the original vhs art on the other side!!!

Scream Factory has today reassured to any doubters that they are the number one leading company that supplies us horror film lovers with what we crave and desire. In less then one years time, they have unleashed these bloody pleasures upon the world and we all should be ever so greatful. Some time ago, many of us lived and loved what Anchor Bay was releasing on DVD and we refell in love with so many pictures that so many people thought were dead and buried. Times have changed, the HD war came to pass and Anchor Bay's torch burnt out. So many people screamed and shouted to the HD gods for life. A second life for films to live on again. To be not forgotten. To introduce to a new generation of fanatics. We wished the big studio's would wake up and appreciate what celluloid gold they had in their hands. A few films fell through the cracks but nobody was fighting the good fight for us, the horror fans. I like many of you, have grown up with these truly amazing movies. The good people at Scream Factory are just like us. They have started a beautiful friendship. They are fighting the good fight. They do care. They do love cinema and the genre just like us and do continue to surprise us every week. They are a business first and foremost. They can only do so much. Yes, there will always be titles that we want or this disc would be better with this or that. We all must remember that they are on our side. They are responsible for creating in one years time a library on discs that would make anyone happy. Top notch titles and the hidden forgotten jems of yesterday. Scream Factory is the horror fans Criterion Collection. They are the best source period, for many films that we all can check off our dream wishlist. The best part is that this is just the beginning. Think about it. Think in what one more or two more years Scream will be doing. I hope they continue with big success and grow as a company and I will do my part to support them all the way. Thank you all at Scream for what you do.

For me personally, I am most thankful to you guys because now I can show my children these bloody good films. The films I grew up with and watched with my mother as a child. The films that ultimately did help form who I am today. Thank you so very much.

I have to agree with you, now I can show people "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" to counter the argument that slasher films aren't scary.

My favorite proto-slasher. The earlier the scarier, I think.

Haloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Black Christmas, etc.
Those are the really scary ones. imo.

Anyone notice that VCI is releasing the first 'body count' film "And Then There Were None" (40s version) on BD in Aug?

Its really the first slasher film in that there is a killer getting revenge, dispatching the 12 characters one by one until a couple of "Final Characters" are left.

Based on the Agatha Christie book, It is strange that a film was made in the 40s about an unknown killer murdering people in a grisly fashion on an Island. The concept as a whole was way before it's time IMO.

I agree. Texas Chainsaw Massacre is truly terrifying. Halloween is pretty scary also.

If Scream have struck a several title deal with Universal, it would be great if they did acquire a previously unreleased on DVD title. As someone said before, The Boy Who Cried Werewolf and Burned at the Stake are the most likely candidates; indeed, with Death Valley released I'm not sure if there are any other high-profile unreleased on DVD.

If Scream did rethink their TV stance, the likes of I Saw What You Did, High Desert Kill and The China Lake Murders are decent possibilities, especially for budget DVD 4-packs.

I hope they do, at least to test the waters. No one is putting this kind of stuff out, but I see a growing interest among horror communities, blogs and podcasts. They could always devise a sub collection within Scream Factory specifically for TV movies, that's numbered to encourage people to try more of the little known ones. It's a shame it's unlikely, as there seems to be a greater interest in these kind of things than ever before.

I agree. I think if Scream are concerned about sales they might consider just testing the waters with a DVD budget pack, with no extras. Perhaps call it 'All-Night TV Terror Marathon'?

Prince of Darkness is the only Universal title I'm interested in besides DEATH BECOMES HER and everybody knows they're not licensing that one. People Under the Stairs was decent but it's too "90's", if that makes any sense (I hated the decade). Universal doesn't really have any good, "culty" titles.

IMO, the current release is fine. I'd rather see titles no released on Blu before.

Christine - Already released from Sony via Twilight Time. Sold out, and not coming back around domestically for at least two years.

Assault on Precinct 13 - Depends if Image still has the right to the film, already has a decent supplement on the current Blu-ray.

Halloween - This one would be interesting, if the right are available, I believe it is currently controlled by Anchor Bay. I would be stunned if Criterion came back in to sweep up the title, if it became available again. (For those of you older than 25, Criterion did release this on Laserdisc.)

Assuming that Shout might have the remaining Universal films, we have Memoirs of an Invisible Man, In the Mouth of Madness and Vampires...

Warner will probably release In the Mouth of Madness and Memoirs of an Invisible Man eventually.

Vampires best hope is going to Twilight Time through the Sony deal. If it goes to Mill Creek, it will probably be bare bones as a double feature with a stripped down Ghosts of Mars.

What? That list posted earlier had nothing but culty films for the most part...Universal is loaded with good stuff.
