Contact is also the same movie that comes to mind. Saw it at the movie theater twice during its first release.

Eventually purchased the Laser Disc (wasn't into DVD's yet at that time), eventually the DVD a few years later and more recently, the Blu-ray.

At home, I do it a lot. I'll watch the flick then rewatch with commentary either immediately after or later the same day.

Caught the midnight opening of Revenge Of The Sith and another showing about 10 hours later. I did watch Way Of The Gun twice when the DVD first came out (I literally started it from the beginning as soon as the credits rolled), but I think Sith was the only time I did that with a cinema release.
