I contacted target, it seems you either have to have a receipt or you can print off a gift receipt, which I can't because it was ordered via ebay bc the youtuber didn't have any at his local target.

I know its redundant, but is this acceptable damage? Would you let it go or have the guy contact the ebay seller?

Those are defects present in one way or another in 90% of the steels from this release.

It's not that bad at all. A lot of the steels at Target had some sort of damage to it.. Just be happy with it, I know I would be if I got it for free.

I was actually semi-serious when I suggested you touch it up youself. If you found the right color, you could probably make it look as good as new.

Yep. We discussed this on release day. Mine came right out of the box with paint chips missing.

You might still go ahead and try to exchange it for a better one without the receipt. You may never know and depending who's at customer service he/she might let you exchange it.

I may just live with it. I mean I see no dents and the chipping is only viewable at the bottom end, which doesn't take away from the artwork as well as just on the inner lip when opening.

But I am wondering how paint can be chipped in the inner lip? I understand on the back, but what is scraping on the middle?

happens during the manufacturing process

watched it tonight, more enjoyable upon a second viewing. I dig tupac at the end

did notice that paint chipping on the inner lip is also on the front hand side when opened on the steel before the plastic in the inner case starts. I have no idea how this could have been caused in the manufacturing process but it had to be as its not visible on the outside at all and its just an odd place for the markings.

Will just keep it. Like I said, it was completely free and came brand new sealed. I would have eventually picked up the basic amray case of this film so its an added bonus I got the steel for me just by watching a guy on youtube.
