Not sure if this really matters to anyone, but I did notice that the interior sleeve artwork is improved vs. the original for both Spiderman and Ghostbusters, and to a lesser extent: Angels & Demons.
I get that in the grand scheme of things this falls somewhere between "who cares" and "hmmm", but figured I'd mention since everything else about these releases is being picked apart. ![]() |

Either I have really bad luck with my disc or the reviewer 21st of May just did a quick scan through the moive but no mentioned of no subtitles being translated when the chinese were speaking to each other. Sony still hasn't gotten back since I reported the problem that I was having when tested on 2 different players.....one of them was a Sony too.

Kind of like how Iron Man 3 and Star Trek and Fast & Furious 6 etc are all US films yet open overseas first? Absolutely no logic in your comment. Overseas makes more money than the US, period. It's business. No law says that a film made in the US should have a US release first.

Penton, as an indusrtry insider... what's the general feeling of frame rates? For that matter, even 240hz LED with motion smoothing? Personally I love the smoother movement. I see more detail. 24fps kinda bugs me a bit but I do understand that generally, people do not shoot on higher frame rate video because you get what you shoot. With film you have so many more creative choices to work with. Now, since Peter Jackson and James Cameron are working with higher frame rate digital cameras, is there a general feeling about it in the industry or is it heavilly devided?

I was able to watch my new copy of Ghostbusters yesterday. The new transfer is great. The movie itself activates a hidden x.v.Color setting on my Sharp LC-60LE847U. I had to fiddle with the settings a bit to get it as close to how my movie setting looks for regular BD's (mainly I had to lower the contrast from 33 to 27 since anything higher clips when receiving the x.v.Color signal). I feel Sony dropped the ball with not having the hidden test patterns encoded in x.v.Color to get the most out of these new discs.
