Had an e-mail from Sainsburys this morning saying the Release date had now changed to TBC.

This may explain why Amazon removed it last week.

This is Studiocanal, and they also pulled The Place Beyond the Pines steel too. Something must be going on.

Got the same email. Shame if it is cancelled - not only did I prefer the double-play version but I'll wait for a price drp on the amaray if there is no steelbook. And I won't bother with the £15 Evil Dead II steelbook either which I only fancied to match with this and The Evil Dead (otherwise no way am I spending that much on a fairly uninspired looking catalogue release).

On the plus side I'll be saving myself some money

I didn't even realise The Place Beyond the Pines was announced as a steelbook

They must be having some financial troubles.

I can say unequivocally that they are NOT in financial trouble at all. Their listings for both are still part of the schedule, but there have been some delays in manufacturing that mean artwork and release date are just TBC for now. To be honest I think they put that up too early, when they were already busy at Cannes and everything.

My sainsburys pre order is still there and not been cancelled but its gone from the website.

We’re sorry to advise you that this title has been deleted by the supplier and is no longer available. We have made every attempt to secure stock but unfortunately we have just been informed of this issue and are unable to fulfil your order.
