This was never a problem for me since I played CS:GO since and when it came out. I've even bugged a few people about it (only getting jerk-off/PC elitist responses), and got nothing. Anyone played it recently (with a controller) have these problems?

your best bet is to google it because you are probably in the .1% who plays with a controller. Its going to be hard to find the answer. YOu could trying re installing the game tho.
