Superman has weapons for just about every scenario, he probably has something that would neutralize Thor's lightning and hammer. He's also won fights before without his powers from the yellow sun so that might not be an issue either. Thor is powerful, I just doubt he could defeat Kal-El.

You are right, he would not just defeat him.

He would flatten him like a Kryptonian pancake

before:

After (all that was found is a little "S" colored patch in the middle)

[Show spoiler]P.S: For those who think that I take this "fights" seriously and haven't seen the sarcasm in all that I post about it, let me reassure you. I think that all "Vs" comic superheroes fights are all plain and utterly r.e.t.a.r.d.e.d. That's that.

Thor would be able to beat Superman any time he wanted to . Thor is capeable of doing things to Superman and there is nothing he can do to stop them . For instance any time Thor wanted to he could magically turn Superman into a gas and just let him float away and that is just one of the many things Thor can do . Talk about power if Thor wanted to he could kill Superman by ripping Superman's soul right from his body and later he could resurrect him too . I just don't think a lot of people really know what Thor can do . He is as powerful as they come strength wise . He is on par with the Silver Surfer in cosmic power . And he is on par with Dr Strange in magic power , there really is no one else like him .

That didn't work for the Vision, as a matter of fact - his Asguardian hammer's magical make-up allowed him to disrupt the Vision while intangible.

Superman is not weak to magic like he is with Kryptonite, dont mistake this. Thor's Hammer would cause some damage but it would be no different than him doing battle with Shazam. Magic isnt a new force to Superman he has been fighting around it and thru it since the silver age of comics. This will give Thor a slight advantage, but Superman's healing factor makes up for this easily. This is why Supes can beat Shazam or any other magical characters on his level.

The longer the fight the better Superman is going to be. He is going to be healing while Thor will suffer damage. Superman can also restore all of his powers thanks to the yellow sun. Thor has no way to replenish his powers and will evently get out powered like the Hulk has done to him.

You know that Thor could drain all the solar energy from Superman's body any time he wanted to . Just like he could drain all the Gama radiation out of the Hulk turning him back into Banner . Thor can drain/absorb any form of energy .

Superman held black holes, moved Mageddon Warhead who was said to be as big as Jupiter, broke a dark matter Moon and fell into Earth with such force that destroyed everything and caused a nuclear winter. Superman under a red sun punched Zod so hard that made Earth tremble and crack. Hulk is nowhere near Superman's strength, neither is Thor. I go with Superman.

Superman WEAK to magic? How do you explain that Superman defeated 4 Elder Gods by himself? He was hit in the chest with a magical sword and hit by an arrow in the back. What about Superman surviving Blaze's transmutation in her own realm? He even defeated her.

Superman was able to move a growing Solar System and throw it in space. He held a mini black hole and threw it in space. He fixed a hole in the cosmos with his Heat Vision. Superman's speed is so great that he is able to phase throught stuff. God, he saved the Omniverse. To save it, Superman just stood above the Omniverse and phased so the Phantom Planet so it could go throught it. Superman absorbed enought energy to destroy half a galaxy (Maggedon Warhead) and it was ANTI-Sunlight energy. He survived a blast from Imperiex Prime, a blast that killed Doomsday (who became a pile of ashes), explosion of 1 million Nuclear bombs while being in the center, slowed down the Spectre's fall, who's said to be as Eternity!!

Weaknesses

Vulnerability to Magic: Superman's biomatrix is his most powerful asset, but the strength of this field is also its greatest weakness. It's permeability to certain wavelengths makes Superman vulnerable to certain radiations, particularly magical energies whose chaotic electromagnetic or extradimensional signatures disrupt this forcefield. Superman's vulnerability to magic varies depending upon the special effects of the magic. No magic seems to be able to directly destroy him unless it comes from a semi-divine or divine source. He can be injured and worn down by magical entities. Magic can have powerful and unpredictable effects on Superman and his magical enemies have often proven to be the most dangerous. Recently, Superman has learned more about magic with the help of Zatanna and he is able to counter almost every spell. Magic has unknown effects on him. He was able to survive when he had a magical sword in the chest and a magical arrow in his back. It was during a fight against four Elder Gods. A fight that Superman won. He was able to withstand a magical blast that managed to knockout the entire JLA and both Wonder Woman (magic being) and Zauriel (Angel). He went after the enemy in question and stopped him.

Used to be and possibly still would be to Thor's magic. This I why I said a short description of the powers they posses in the OP would really come in handy.

And yet Superman bleeds after a punch from a mere human, isn't that crazy eh?

Again, Thor flattens him like a Kryptonian Krepe in 0.2s.

hard call. Thor's using Mjölnir. Could kick Supes into a coma state into orbit but then Superman get's recharged and supercharged by the sun and kicks Thor's ass

Batman was pumped up on venom (the drug Bane uses). Thats why he made Superman bleed.
