I'm glad that you mentioned this b/c a lot of film historians have noted that "chemistry" is a difficult thing.

There have been many real-life couples who had little on-screen chemistry.

There have been many on-screen couples with great chemistry who never dated in real life or in fact hated each other (Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable come to mind).

Yeah most of the scenes we're filmed in the dark imo.

Default "The Amazing Spider-Man - Mastered In 4K" any different from previous editions ?

Anybody noticed "The Amazing Spider-Man - Mastered In 4K" any different from previous editions ? I checked both editions on Panasonic Plasma 50" TV and Panasonic HD projector (projected on 120" screen) and didn't notice any difference. Uploading pictures clicked with iPhone 5.

Are you joking to use iPhone pictures as a way to compare these 2 releases?
Please do proper frame grabs on your computer.

Saw this at Costco (2D Blu-ray/DVD Combo) for $14.99. Not a bad deal!

Appreciate the effort. But this is certainly not the way to compare.

Review and comparison of the Mastered in 4K ASM disc : http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/8995...spider_4k.html

Well, the original disc looks... a bit blurry.

I looked at those and the difference is marginal much like Ghostbusters. I challenge anyone to be able to tell a difference in motion.

Probably impossible to notice the difference in motion on an HDTV, but a little bit easier on the computer.

Really surprised this wasn't just a cover-art change, but that's not a meaningful difference.

I haven't been keeping up with BD's recently, is the 4K series just going to be releases like Super-bit DVDs, or are all future Sony releases going to have that label?

Here's another 4k screen, something doesnt look right.

Having own both copies, I do noticed the sharper image on the 4K too. I'm not sure if Sony added a bit of sharpness to it or not but I prefer the 4K version

Yeah, I can tell that there was an improvement in sharpness.

Nothing enough to warrant a repurchase, in my opinion.

From what I've seen so far of the new Mary Jane, I'm not impressed. But she's at least better than Kirsten Dunst.

Not going to jump on that train.

Nothing wrong with Kirsten's performance. She did as directed.

Ghostbusters difference is not marginal.

It's because of a new transfer & the contrast was corrected from the 1st release.

It is a night & day difference as is Sam Raimi's "Spider-man." New transfer for that one also. Also a night & day difference.

I bought those 2 so I can speak up for those. Also I'm sure it will make a difference on those 2 titles if your display is ISF calibrated & how good your display is. Trust me night & day difference on the ones with the new transfers.

I imagine there is a small difference for this title but not as great as the ones that was taken from a new transfer.

Ghostbusters is the easiest to see the difference. Nowhere near the atrocity the 1st release was with the overblown contrast.

You're seriously exaggerating here.

There were a few shots (bloody clouds, sheesh), but taken as a whole the transfer was fine.

Peter I seriously put the Blu-ray in 3 different Blu-ray players to find out what was wrong with the picture in Ghostbusters with the first release.

When I put it in to start with I thought something was wrong with my Blu-ray player or that I had lost my ISF settings.

It has been repeated several times in the Ghostbusters thread that the contrast was way off for that release.

It wasn't a few clouds. It was all the way through the movie.

Have you checked the side by side comparisons in the other thread. Look at the final scene with the bright lights coming out of the gateway. Very easy to see the difference there.

I had both releases & I'm glad that Sony finally gave us a corrected PQ on it. I was happy to give my other one away.

But to each his own if your happy with the contrast on the 1st release by all means keep it.
