Anyone know what the £24.20 version was? It was sold out for the last 2 weeks and I blind preordered mine for the crack, its just despatched from amazon

According to the BVA there are 2 BD releases one Rental Copy and a Double Play with UV code.

If you've ordered the more expensive one you've ordered the Rental Copy. I think I'm right anyway!

Well if thats the case they can have it back! was hoping it was some mystery ltd edition, didnt know amazon sold rental copies to the public

You could wait and see what comes but the EAN in Deciazulado's entry is the Rental Copy with the BVA. They do sell Rental Copies and most of them are more expensive than the Retail Copy.

Sorry if it's bad news but it may be worth seeing what it is before sending it back. I wouldn't want you to miss out in case it was something special!

Can someone who already has the movie help me out with this: I want to buy Gangster Squad through amazon.co.uk so I don't have to wait for the Portuguese version (comes out 26th June), and I know the UK version has Portuguese subtitles, but I don't know if they're Portuguese from Portugal or Brazilian Portuguese. Can someone tell me if you select Portuguese subtitles on the disc, when the title of the movie comes up in the beggining or when the end credits start, it translates from 'Gangster Squad' to 'Força Anti-Crime' (Portugal) or 'Caça aos Gângsters' (Brazil)? I hope it's Portuguese from Portugal, 'cause if it's Brazilian I have to wait for the movie to come out here

Pretty sure the UK disc will have Portugal Portuguese while the US disc has Brazilian Portuguese.

A lot of UK blu-rays have Brazilian Portuguese instead of Portugal Portuguese. I'd even say most of them do. I just want to make sure it has Portugal Portuguese before I buy it

Looking at the back cover of the Hong Kong release (which seems to have the same subtitle options listed on the Amazon UK site for the UK disc), it lists "European Portuguese".

Watched this last night and was so disappointed with it! It was so pedestrian and it felt like a zeroxed version of The Untouchables... Which I just re-watched... Now that's how a film of this sub-genre should be made!
