oooh Cliff, I just took a look at your collection, now this brings up two questions, one , I see you like them Steelbooks....I know you already said no, but, are they even a possibility in the future? Just imagine the original art for the classics in the front and the back, the new commissioned art..ooh that sounds nice!!

Second question, I see you own Delta Force and Death Wish II, any chance you get some Chuck Norris & Charlie Bronson titles, even an unrated cut of Death Wish II, I know you have said no in the past, but, If I learned something is that Shout! Factory can make a lot of things happen (Ninja III, I Come In Peace, Joshua Tree). Oh, one more question, any more Dolph Lundgren stuff down the pipeline? ..and of course, please , please no double features for Dolph, Chuck & Bronson!

Thank you.
You know who the best DVD/BluRay producer is?...it starts with a C and ends with a mac!

Who owns John Landis's Schlock?

Also, I think that it is safe to say that all of the Universal titles that Cliff has denied in the past (Page 1) can be wiped clean because of the announcements of Psycho II/III and Prince of Darkness. Anything is an option at this point...

Cliff, If you guys could licence only 20 titles for the Scream Factory brand from Warner Bros., what would they be? The only limit is that it cannot have been released on Blu previously. This includes Paramount Catalog and New Line titles.

My guesses:
Cat's Eye
In the Mouth of Madness
Deadly Friend
The Exorcist III
Nightbreed
It's Alive
Salem's Lot
Friday the 13th 6
The Hunger
Critters
Return of the Living Dead 2
Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3
Wolfen
Horror of Dracula
The Curse of Frankenstein
The Hand
Silver Bullet
Prophecy
The Hitcher
Body Snatchers

The Howling pre-order has finally dropped from $24.99 at Amazon! It is down to $19.59.

The price drop finished paying off my pre-order and will refund me at least $4.xx

The purpose of the list is to stop people from asking about the same stupid dozen titles over and over and over and over even after Cliff has said no, but since clearly no one ever bothers to read even a few posts back, much less take two seconds to read the first post where all relevant info is updated for everyone's theoretical benefit, and spend even a split second thinking about their fellow members who are forced to scroll through the same redundant bullshit posted over and over by oblivious and indifferent forum members, then sure, go ahead. Just because a couple of films that Scream likely didn't have the rights to at the time were shot down, then, clearly, they're definitely going to release each and every other Universal horror title in existence, regardless of whether Cliff has stated that they they have no plans for X film. Obviously there is no difference between pointless and uninformed Scream speculation and logical and precedent-based speculation that has been responded to by the man in charge of acquisitions for said company. Hey Cliff, how about a special edition of The Thing? Or American Werewolf in London?? Or a Friday the 13th box set?????? That would rock!!! Who cares if any of them already have special editions, or have been released by WB, or Criterion, or anyone else?? Who cares if they've already been shot down? I don't know how to read, so what do I give a shit?? I want Scream to release them, with slipcovers!!!!!

Oh, okay... Just bringing up a possible option, as those 3 were denied before the announcements.

I like the list; it's not the case that ANYTHING is an option at this point. Some titles are clearly and will always be out of Scream Factory's reach, like NoirFan points out. I'd say a title being denied then released is likely the exception to the rule rather than the rule itself.

If there is a productive meeting of any kind with HBO, it'd be worthwhile to see if they could get Witch Hunt (1994), with Dennis Hopper. That movie doesn't even have a DVD release.

I feel like I must specify: Any Universal title without a blu ray could be an option.

Hey Cliff, how about you guys score the rights to Wicked, Wicked... IN DUOVISION!! On a more serious note, how would you feel about Rabid (1977)? I figured it would make a good DVD extra (like The Evictors) or a good candidate for the next DVD 4-pack since it probably isn't popular enough to warrant its own Blu-ray release.

It is strongly rumored and somewhat confirmed that Rabid is with Janus Films (Criterion)

Edit - don't believe this, I was mixing up Cronenberg films

Right, sorry for the rant, it was more directed at people never bothering to read the first post, or any posts, before making the same suggestions, over and over again, or asking for SEs of films that already have them and/or are from companies that haven't licensed to Scream/Shout. There is so much redundant white noise in this thread, if people were more considerate and literate in general we could really cut down on all the junk posts that clutter this thread, and make it a concise, streamlined, and valuable reference tool and database. Just needed to get that off my chest.

No problem. I can understand that. I hate looking at the comments on Facebook and every day finding out again that Universal has plans for the Child's Play sequels. Read! The answer is just six comments down!

This likely won't get you a slipcover, but maybe a few bucks (that you could use towards buying a slipcover): You could email Amazon and ask them for one, mentioning that your disc arrived without it. When I contacted them about a missing slipcover for Super 8 (I've never noticed or cared if my discs came with slipcovers before, but in this case the slip was a cool one that mimicked the super 8 film canister, which the disc art didn't) they told me they didn't have an extra one, but they'd give me a 33% refund, which I hadn't asked for.

LOL.. yes, I do like Steelbooks, but I don't see us doing them any time soon.
I'd love to do some Norris and Bronson titles, but they are all spoken for at the moment.
No, that's all the Dolph we have.

LOL... I don't think I'm the best, but thanks

Interesting.... I know who owns it. I never thought he'd license it to someone else. He has his own label.

If it were Studio Canal, it would not be on Warner Bros.'s website. It would be on Lionsgate, wouldn't it?
