Batman Begins on the otherhand embraced the comic origins and forged a deep look at what makes Batman who he is.
Now if you look at Batman and Robin, it is closer to what Batman is than both DK and DKR. Sure it may be quite a bit camp and silly but BATMAN has been that many times before. Remember anti shark repellant.
Batman is one of those characters that over the decades has had many different versions. There has been the camp version in the 60's & 70's, the dark version in the 80's and the more technological one of the modern era. But all the versions have one thing in common and that is the over the top baddies and the embracing of the super natural. All of the villians have things that are very unreal. Lazarus Pitts for everlasting life, laughing gas that kills and venom that makes skinny people giants.
If Warner do decide to make another Batman series then I hope it is more like a dark fantasy. No real world relevance but embraces its comic roots completely. Warner should take a leaf out of the Batman Arkham games and base a film series with the same tone and style.

I agreed completely with this post.

Okay.
