Blue-ray makes this movie I have a copy on dvd and would have rated the movie 5-10 now I would give it a 7-10. The visual difference between the to formats was amazing.

I have to concur with you on the Hitchhiker's thing, excellent film it is and Blu-ray really does show off the superb production. Super smooth motion too.

I actually didnt like the movie in theaters, but it was the HD transfer on my cable channels that got me to ignore my hatred and watch it over and over. Now I own a Bluray copy so I can watch the amazing PQ anytime I want.

It was a fun movie and I have to be happy it`s on BD and laugh everytime i think about hddvd players soon to be gaining dust ,and um hddvd ,Thanks for all the fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A quality presentation makes one appreciate a film better.

I thought the quality of the blu-ray was excellent, but I don't care for the movie itself.

Loved much of it, thought Mos Def SUCKED, but Sam Rockwell as Zaphod was awesome. I LOVE Zooey to bits, but thought she was a terrible Trillian.

HATE the Changes to the story... Doug's approval or not - I prefer the BBC version...

That's nothing. Take a look at the listings on Amazon for a used copy.

Agreed! I already have this on DVD; I'm not shelling out $30 for a Blu-ray copy. Lower it, Amazon!

Why is it selling for over $1,000?

It's making me think that I really need to buy this before it hits $1,000,000.

I've been waiting forever for the price to get lower on amazon. Bestbuy still sell's it at full MSRP. Actually, i don't think they even carry the movie anymore.
