It is just specifically saying you enjoy the film because of the reason I previously stated. I think it add entertainment value to a would-be horrible movie.

This conversation is giving me diabetes. -_-

The one flaw I think I figured out with the "So bad, it's good" defense is that as I said, you can apply it to any bad movie past or present by that logic. Like I said, just say you enjoy it. Don't go with some mentality because you'd be ashamed.

The people should just be happy that shout/scream factory actually take the time to do justice to a cult/fan favorite that the actual studio could care less about. Just because the suits think a certain title won't sell units, those Ladies & Gents who work at Shout/Scream are pouring all their efforts to line up the best bluray has to offer with Picture & Sound quality. Let alone the new special features of talent participation which in itself has to be the hardest aspect of each film they decide to do a collector's edition on. I am not a huge horror enthusiast, but I did pick up Halloween II & III and They Live recently and in the pipeline The Howling, The Fog, and of course Psycho II & III! On the shout side I have the original Walking Tall Trilogy which turned out better then I expected. So a personal thanks to you Cliff for giving us such cool titles that normally would get shit releases! BTW, not sure if any of your influence goes to the shout side of things, but what are the chances of some of Burt Reynolds good ol boy hits White Lightning & Gator?

Thank U Sir!

If you haven't seen a Price flick before, there is no better time to dive into his catalog then with this Bluray release. This vol. seems to focus on his classier more respected flicks, hopefully vol. 2 can dive into his more schlocky but fun flicks such as Madhouse and Theatre of Blood, as well as Tales of Terror, Twice Told Tales, and of course the sequel to his classic Dr. Phibes, Dr. Phibes Rises Again.
I'm with you 100%. The Price Collection is probably my most anticipated release currently, but a second volume, at the very least, will be needed.

Theatre of Blood might be my favorite Price film. It's either that or the original Phibes.

Amen.
Theatre of Blood or Cry of the Banshee for me though. Fantastic and creepy actor.

Its a complement to a bad film...
not a defense.
no ones ashamed of anything.

A bad movie is a bad movie. A 'so bad it's good movie' is A 'so bad its GOOD MOVIE'.
I love Howling II. I actually stated that in the beginning of this conversation. So did virtually all of the people who posted with their support.

It will all depend on sales of the first set. I'm hoping it sells well.

Let's try it out then. Say, I like the Nightmare on Elm Street remake for that specific reason. What would you say?

I'm not sure what my opinion of you hypothetically liking the Nightmare on Elm Street remake has to do with my opinion of The Howling II, or any other Scream Factory related topics.

This entire discussion is getting off track of what this thread is about anyway.
If you care to go make a thread dedicated to discussing my opinion of movies, or yours for that matter, go make one and I will be happy to continue it there. Or you can create one about 'Its so bad, It's good' movies. Either way. I am strictly discussion SCREAM FACTORY releases or potentially releases and films / news related to those from now on.

I didn't mean to start some sort of argument, that wasn't the intention. And the point was, I wanted to show how weak that "So bad, it's good" mentality is.

Is there any possibility that Scream Factory could release my favourite horror film onto BD, 'The Changeling' (1980)?

We've agreed on other points in the past, but I see this one differently.

Lets agree to disagree.

Unfortunately its with Warner Bros. and they do not license films out to indie distributors. Would love it though. Good tastes. lol.

Thanks for the reply. That's a shame in regards to the answer though. Hopefully WB will get onto releasing that one day.

This is one of the very few films that actually give me the creeps. When that ball bounces down the steps.....wow.

If that's how someone feels or thinks it's not weak at all...if you want someone to respect your thoughts on that you have to respect theirs too. It's just a broad saying that means many things to many people. To me it just means it's a movie thats huggable because it's the perfect storm of whacky. That probably doesn't makes sense to you but it does me and frankly thats all that matters; I don't need to make you happy and you don't need to make me happy..perfect.lol

Crawlspace is part of a bigger package deal. The Warhol films were not.

I personally love Crawlspace. It's so underrated and has a terrific performance from Klaus Kinski and an excellent score from Pino Donaggio. Overall a creepy little movie and I love the chase scene with the mute girl.
