Nice collection, The Three and Four Musketeers rule. But how could you have A View To A Kill and not On Her Majesty's Secret Service. That is one of the best in the series.

I've seen it twice and its really not to the point where I like it yet. James Bond in a kilt, Kojak as the villain?

@ Rich65:

A little bit of everything here, but there are some major holes there, IMO. Some films in your collection left me scratching my head wondering "...how could he have that but not this one?" But what do I know? A few weeks ago I rated a guy who had 70 blu-rays in his collection and I gave him a 2/10 saying "good start, but a long way to go" and I got savaged and was called an arrogant, elitist pig. I think most people are looking for warm fuzzys in this forum.

Anyways, take a look at the AFI Top 100 films of all time for starters to understand what I mean.

I am going out on a limb and say its for the same reason I don't have the movie he noticed, its not a favorite. For example, I like the last two Batman reboot movies, but don't like Batman Begins enough to buy at this time.

Also, if you get a chance, you might want to classify your movies by type. You have a massive collection and its hard to see exactly what you have of each type in its current alphabetical listing.

As for the AFI 100, I own about 1/5 of them (40% of the top 10), want to get some more but no way do I want all of them. And I can see how you would give that rating if the standard you used was the AFI 100 vs your personal taste (or a mix), which is pretty broad in comparison.

Please whoever is reviewing next skip me and review Lordy instead, thanks.

Fantastic collection Brutha. Love it all the way around
And you're NOT and elitist, arrogant snob either. You were honest ( a "little" harsh though as most want that warm and fuzzy) and it was your take. A lot of people don't like yours (or mine for that sake) taste in films and I don't give a rats a$$. This is all in fun. and if someone gets butt hurt, they need to grow up and get a grip. I personally rate on their own body of work, how it compares to mine overall and diversity.
Anyways, kick ass library of films.

You have an outstanding collection. It's vast, diverse, and full of important and vital films. I hope that if I keep up with my collecting I will someday get something remotely comparable to yours! You have one of those picturesque collections to strive for and look at for inspiration to collect more films. 10/10. Any lower would be unjustified.

Outstanding collection! Thought your categories were titled nicely as well. A nice representation of genre, for the most part. Someday, I'll have a collection as grand as yours! 9/10
