Just give me a good transfer of the original theatrical release version of Halloween, and it's all good.

For years, I owned an old DVD edition of Halloween from 1998, 2000, or some time around that era. It was just the original theatrical version with a pleasing "Halloween Unmasked" documentary. That DVD rocked my world every October until it was destroyed in a flood, along with a few of my other DVDs, back in 2009. I have not seen the film since then, but I'd love to check out a good Blu-ray.

I can not buy another version of this film, but I must admit I am glad that people want the best version of this movie. I have purchased a video tape, two DVD's and now a Blu-ray. I am done.
But what a great experience this film is. I enjoy it every time I watch it (at least once a year).

It better be a new 4K or beyond scan with improved Cundey approved timing and not a rehash of the old scan like many of the theaters put out for the re-release last year and what Anchor Bay did for Halloween 4 and 5 on blu-ray (most theaters simply were given the old Anchor Bay blu-ray on a bd-r). If it's just new extras I'll be pissed.

When people talk about the TV version, would this be the EDITED version (nudity edited) with the TV scenes added? Or just the regular version (theatrical) with the TV scenes added as extra?

I would love to have the theatrical with tv scenes added ,but I'm not sure it exist.That would be an awesome surprise on this disc.
