When I was in college I ran the student movie theater, and we successfully did some really WEIRD double features I thought up. We would run one movie as the evening film twice, then a midnight after.

The first one sounds insane, but a HUGE number of people stayed because they loved the offbeat pairing:

I like pairing Traffic and Contagion because they both use the same style, with many plots across the world going simultaneously, connected by theme but not necessarily by characters actually meeting and interacting.
