Definitely a fair warning to those who were planning on picking it up since that clearly says 6 discs.
It leaves out the two movies that least interested me, to be honest.

Even if that were the case for me, I'd prefer the set with the most content since the prices are the same. Packaging might be a factor for some though.

I hear ya on Phantom, but I'm assuming you don't have a 3-D player then because Creature is a real stunner.

Agreed. The eye-popping 3D (while a bit uneven at times) is fantastic and certainly one of the major highlights of this box set!

Here the image off Best Buy's site, just so people can see it here.

It's sad that it's missing two films, but they aren't the two most popular I suppose. Now the only question is what the case is like.

Even without the 3-D, Creature is great!

For my part, I would prefer if Creature from the Black Lagoon was included instead of the Invisible Man.

I was hoping for the 8/9 film collection to be available in stores for this price. Probably will price match Amazon with the Complete collection.

As I expected, it looks like Amazon switched the price of the 8-disc set back to $89.98. I'm sure they course corrected once they confirmed the new BB release is not the same one. I hope those who wanted it, ordered it while the getting was good.

Those who missed out can still import the region free UK set for around $50 total.

Still $65.99 on Amazon, just out of stock. Look under new from $65.99.

Phantom and Creature are very good movies. I think anyone is just better off getting the set with the eight films.

I think what they should have done for Best Buy was Blu-ray Monster Spotlight collections with four films each the way they did on DVD. I think THAT would have made more sense.

Basically if you go to Best Buy today to collect the films, you'll have to get that six film collection, plus the individual releases of Phantom of the Opera and Creature from the Black Lagoon. Hopefully Best Buy will be smart enough to order some copies of Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein to tie in with their release.

I do. As tempting as this price is, I'm going to wait.

You didn't get Creature From The Black Lagoon in 3D or Phantom of The Opera? And the Dracula movie has 2 on it, includes the Spanish version.
