F2 doesn't really need that much controller attention anyway. I played Gaiden on PS3 last night for 4 hours straight and it only left me pissed off at how difficult this game can be.

Anyone know if they are going to replace the Sixaxis controllers that come with the PS3 with a dualshock 3?
Ya they will replace it. The MGS4 80gig bundle coming out in June comes with the dual shock 3. Not sure when the 40gigs will start coming w/ the DS3. I expect sony to phase out the sixaxis w/ out rumble. Like the old days fo the ps1 when the first controller did not have rumble. ONce the dual shock was introduced they phased out the original. controller.

This is a must buy for any PS3 gamer.

I've had mine since RB6V2 came out and love it. It's a tremendous improvement over the 'stock' sixaxis.

The battery life is basically the same. I haven't noticed a difference at all in how long the controller lasts. I've played Rainbow all day long with it without it going dead on me. Even after the low battery warning it lasts just as long as the sixaxis did (after the warning that is).

The vibration _is_ different. Some people may think that was marketing jibberish but it wasn't. This thing can generate all kinds of different vibrations. To check the difference I went over a friends and played Rainbow on his 360 using that vibration tech. It was basically the same vibration for everything, just different lengths (longer for explosions, shorter for gunshots, etc.). On the PS3 with DS3 it is a different vibration for _every_ gun. Explosions all have their own vibrations too (i.e. incendiary feels different than frag grenades, etc.). There is a complete range of vibration capability and it gives a completely unique feel to each weapon. Even the sniper rifles feel different (even the bolt action on them has a slightly different feel for each one!). It's definitely a huge improvement in vibration technology. No question.

I'll be picking up at least one more shortly.

Agree. I'd love to use the 360 controller for the PS3.

I wish they had all the color variants stateside as well. Bummer it's only available in Black in the states.

For some reason I've been wanting a crimson one badly.

Tell me about it. I played it when it came out on Xbox years ago and it was probably one of the most frustrating games ever, yet I was determined to finish it. So I did and immediately traded it in, vowing never to play it again.

Then I bought Sigma, and it's still frustrating as hell. But it's pretty

Try re-ordering it. Or wait, it will most likely update a little later. (unless they are already sold out of what they will get in)

I figured it was right up your alleyway alleyway.
haha.. see there is only one problem Star Ocean 3, took it a year to make it stateside and was released as a directors cut if you will.

This means ill be waiting awhile and it makes me nervous that they
have not yet released a platform the last 2 were playstation exclusives,
there was gameboy color game that was a indirect sequal to 2...

Anyone who already has a ds3..... I have a question I would like to get confirmed.
If you have a 20, 60, or 80GB PS3, does the ds3 work on PS2 titles?

Also, could they program a ds3 to work with DBOX? (doubtful but hey, why not?)

Someone on another thread ha confirmed, the ds3 does play psone, ps2, and ps3 games.
Thanks for the input again.

I still wonder if the DBOX could work with a ds3 if they really wanted it to... but it wouldn't be the same... Not sure I even want that kind of feedback from a movie.

Well April 4th is in 2 days... it could be out by Friday!
Now I have to decide if it is worth ordering on Amazon or going into a store like Best Buy or EBX and getting it in person...
They have no official release date so I assume that means as soon as they get it, the stores will sell it.

I was thinking the same thing. Should I order or buy from the store? Maybe I'll wait just a couple more days.
