Did I ever say Metacritic is the gospel truth? I agree that they're wrong about some things. I'd say The Dark Knight is easily a better film than Spider-Man 2. Also, I don't think The Incredible Hulk is any better than Spider-Man 3.

What I'm really trying to say is that Man of Steel is already a disappointment. Current scores:

RT: 61 (63 on Top Critics)
Metacritic: 55

the further removed for the terrible comedy that was the christopher reeve films the better ( I grew up watching those films and still remember thinking they were crap when I was 8) I think my exact words were, can I watch the star wars tape everytime some adult tried to make me watch any of the superman films!!!!

I didn't like S:TM either, in fact I haven't liked a single superman movie so far, so maybe MOS will be more up my alley.

If RT and Metacritic scores are not gospel truth, then why we should assume their rating of Man of Steel alone and take it as a disappintment? Just ignore them completely or agree with them on everything.

I'm definitely getting the mondo poster if I end up liking the movie. I like that it's a timed sale and not a random one that sells out in 2 mins.

The Incredible Hulk is much better than Spiderman 3 imo. In fact, I think it is the most underrated Marvel movie.

I personally feel that the S:TMP is pretty much a masterpiece. So i'm not sure what i'm going to make of Man Of Steel.

yeah im hoping ill enjoy this one! it shouldnt be hard as the others are just plain awful, they are like 'Carry on' movies.

I have decided I will probably see this theatrically. Although Hollywood has been 0 for 2 this year, with both Iron Man 3 and Furious 6 earning a 'mediocre' rating from me. Hopefully Man of Steel won't be strike 3 but judging from the reviews, that's more likely than not.
