It's been up a couple of weeks. I've pre-ordered this as it looks really good, where it could easily have been very bad. It also seems a while since Nicholas Hoult has been in a film, then again I may have missed the ones he's been in recently. I know he's in the new Jack The Giant Slayer movie

Hi really really hope they release it as a steelbook! I've a policy where it's either Ltd Ed, or it's a download code.

Loved this film though, funny as anything!

I received my copy today from Sainsbury. Can anyone who has it already please check the film and see if the aspect ratio is 2.35:1 rather than the 1.78:1 it says on the cover. I hate it when they change the aspect ratio from the cinems release so I might have to send it back.

UK version has been cropped so avoid.

I'll watch my copy and send it back for a refund. If the film is good I'll import the US version with the correct 2.40.1 aspect ratio.

Can't believe they f**ked up this release with the cropping. Idiots.

So can you confirm it has been cropped. If it's just a typo on the cover then fine but i'm not going to watch it myself unless I have confirmation, otherwise it goes back on Monday.

Yep, it's cropped.

Still gonna watch my copy tonight and sent it back for a refund.

Yes, it comes with a slip. If you can play region A then I'd import the US version if I were you as at least that has the correct AR.

Cheers, mines going back unopened. Not giving them the chance to reject the refund.

According to amazon, the German version has a 2.35:1 aspect ratio. It's not the correct 2.40:1 AR, but still, way better than the UK release. I'll just import the german one since my player isn't Region Free and I can't play Region A locked blu's.

This seems to be open-matte rather than cropped as it doesn't lose any picture on the left or right of the screen when compared to the screenshots from the US BD review.
