Cliff....ever think we may be able to get 'The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane' (1976) starring Jodie Foster on Blu-ray? The print that is on the OOP MGM DVD looks fantastic.

I'm one of the two who pre-ordered CvZ, and I don't know anything about it
The bolded ones are the owns I own (I don't see the need to put the ones that aren't available in my collection yet, even if they've been ordered, like with The Fog or Swamp Thing)...

That must be Scream and Shout BD releases. Otherwise I'm in serious trouble...

I bought it, but then again, I've seen it.
A lot of Hammer's stuff is an acquired taste, the average fan, or even average horror fan, probably wouldn't have jumped to pick it up.

I loved it though...
That's a shame, because I love The Vampire Lovers and it is a great disc. Plus it's one of Screams cheapest Blus to buy.

Nope youre not the only person. I love Invaders from Mars both the original and the remake. I sincerely hope Cliff did pick this one. It isnt the highest on my wish list but Id love to see it in HD with some cool extras.

I am also in favor ( or favour) of those great Hammer horror titles but Ive heard its hard to track down who owns the rights to them. Off the top of my head...I would love it if Shout released the Quatermass Experiment (one of the better/best classic sci fi thrillers pre 1960 IMO) and if Scream got a hold of Island of Terror from Universal..

Does SF titles hold their value? As in, do they drop below $18?

Any of the Hammer Quatermass films would be ideal for Scream Factory. Nigel Kneale's writings were very influential on John Carpenter, especially with Prince of Darkness.

I hope not, those are three gems that I would love to get the BD bump.
Was trying to do a BD of MUTANT stacked with extras thru my deal with Camelot Ent, but there are absolutely no pre-print elements in existance anymore, and the print used for the Elite DVD went missing, so a BD of this title ever happening is slim to none.

That's a shame because MUTANT is actually very enjoyable. I don't suppose you could reissue the Elite DVD like you did with INCUBUS with the planned extras?

I don't keep track of a collection directly on this site so most of those have at least 1 more on them haha

Quick question. How does Shout ship (USPS, UPS etc.)?

TIA

If you were to highlight one of the former, which would you choose to single out as a film/release you personally would like to recommend to those that might not have yet considered it?

Thinking about BLIND-BUYING one or two of these as I have either not seen them or it's been a number of years.

The Burning
The Town that Dreaded....
The Howling
Terror Train

If you had to choose two, which ones?

Depends on what you like, if you want just slashers, then I'd say The Burning and Terror Train. Or if you really like werewolf movies, then swap in The Howling. I can't speak for Town since I've never seen it.

I haven't bought any of the Scream titles yet, just too much going on right now. I don't want to see my invoice total when I do get around to making the order though.

So many good titles. I guess this is my appreciation post.

Cannot speak for the other three, but if you liked even a part of Gremlins, get The Howling!

My votes are for The Howling and The Burning. Best films, in my opinion, and best collection of bonus features. If you're a big makeup FX fan, the work by Rob Bottin and Tom Savini in the films are outstanding.

Based on your collection... The Burning and Terror Train would be your safest bets.

The Howling is a great werewolf film.

The Town that Dreaded Sundown isn't easily classified. It's sort of a southern-fried giallo. Think Zodiac, if Zodiac was set set in the deep south, filmed with 1970's equipment and style and had a sense of humor to boot.
