Default Gran Turismo Prologue to Feature Damage!!!!

Gran Turismo head Kazunori Yamauchi has confirmed that the series is finally going to be implementing damage, saying it could be included as a downloadable feature for Gran Turismo 5 Prologue as early as this Autumn.

I also dream of the day that the final paragraph happens.

Gran Turismo's attention to detail with all F1 cars. . .driving heaven. I didnt think F1 Championship Edition was that bad, but I know it would be much better with the GT people working on it.

Honestly F1CE was not bad. But GT5p with so many cars proves to be a better deal. And ofcourse no one can even come close to the detailing that goes into gt5p

You mean the fact they're maybe going to be putting Gran Turismo For Boys into GT5 isn't more exciting?

Hey what's the deal with this game only being $40? Is it going to be online only like SOCOM?

It's because it is a big demo, really (hence "Prologue"). Four tracks, 40 cars or something like that. The real GT 5 is due next summer (2009), I heard here on the forums.

Even the demo is longer and has more features than a lot of full games that have already been released at a higher price.

I agree with that, it's even got 16 player online racing support I believe...wish there were more tracks, though.

IGN reports 70 cars and 6 tracks. Apparently they added more than what was released in Japan. The extra cars & tracks might be part of the SpecII update, I'm not sure.

What I do know is that PD have announced that Prologue in its current form, is only half-complete, that they will be adding features over the next year up to the release of GT5.

The damage model coming in August is another great example of this. Luis, you might be missing out on something serious here...I would expect that over the next year you're going to be pretty much playing the real thing and early at that.

The Damage Model update most definitely should be. Delivering it free via PSN is an opportunity for the devs to use Prologue purchasers as beta testers.

I would assume so. By the sound of it, they are patches, rather than add-on content.
