We have all our wire running under our house, I don't know if that is an option or not. Makes it a pain in the ass if you ever want to move them though.

I just bought white PVC covered speaker cable from Monoprice and ran it along the ceiling... no one has noticed yet...

i pushed mine under the baseboard which was a big pain in the ass and then got something called a cordmate to run up from the floor to the speaker looks kinda tacky but alot better then wires (Man i cant wait to remodel my living room)

They are on stands. Unfortunately I dont have the option to run under the house or anything since I live in a condo, renting..

if its carpeted you might be able to make a small slit and run flat wire under. using a snake shouldnt be too hard. and depending on the carpet, may not even be noticeable if you move.

ive only heard that they work like regular wire only flat for different aplications. never heard anything bad

I had to Use Flat Wire in my basement works great. you can use double sided tape and put it right on the wall and paint over it or buy the small wire trough and feed it through and panit the whole trough. $0.02

If the room is carpeted, just pull up the carpet and run flat wire anywhere you need to, then put the carpet back down. I did this and it is very clean and cannot see any trace of the wire, but my carpet was pretty deep with a heavy pad.
