The best to do, I think, is to go to the Audio Output settings and just choose automatic. The PS3 will detect which formats (which the PS3 supports) the receiver supports. Also keep in mind that not all content on Netflix has 5.1 DD+. Some content is just stereo. But in short, the PS3 should be able to output surround from streaming services such as Netflix and Vudu (the one I use outputs 5.1 DD+ from Vudu in 5.1 PCM, and DD from Netflix when the content is DD+; I also have an Onkyo receiver btw). Also, are you using an HDMI from the PS3 to the receiver?

All the settings seem to be correct. I set the audio output to automatic and verified DD+ got set, but still get stereo output.
