Here's what I got Wednesday 19th June:



All items are from Amazon, and apart from Orphans, all are new releases. Orphans was supposed to be new, but it wasn't sealed. For around £7 I wasn't that fussed as it is normally around £12. The sleeve, booklet and disc are fine, although I may swap it to a new case. I just need some more now as I tend to get through a few when I import US titles, and swap them out of those awful eco-cases which damage the sleeve

This has caused me numerous problems, and the item received on Thursday 20th June was The Butterfly Effect. I got the US one as I'm not too bothered about the other two films and this one has both cuts of the film, along with all the extras. This was the second one I had and the spine of the sleeve for both have creases running through them from the case. I've got to return one, and although the second one is nowhere near as bad, I've got to decide whether to keep that one, or return it and try for third time lucky. The only time it's gone this far was for the Mrs. Miniver Blu-ray

I've ordered the 16 Universal steelbooks out next week, plus some WB titles like Inception, Watchmen and Gran Torino. Some steelbook double dipping, but I like the artwork, plus the Canadian Exorcist steelbook (if this doesn't arrive damaged from Amazon.ca, I'll be in shock)

National Treasure and National Treasure 2 were both FREE from Disney Movie Rewards after I redeemed some points, Red State was £5 from Amazon, and The Devil's Double was £5.04, and was also from Amazon...it also comes in a Black Blu-ray Case, and to my total amazement upon opening the parcel, it also came with a lenticular slipcover

It looks like I'm first to post images in here of the Batman steelbooks. These were from Zavvi. Also included is the Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters steelbook from the Entertainment Store on Play (which is staying sealed)

Been a while since I posted (due to work). Heres some beauties that came over the past week.

I personally dont understand the hate for Cliffhanger. Its a great film and glad to have it on steelbook.

Words cannot explain the quality of Hansel Taiwan. The slip is top notch. Metallic ink slip. The pictures dont do it justice as its really hard to capture. Plus once opened (UK one), its a very nice steelbook too. Artwork, embossing. Great work Paramount. Its not one of their usual super hi gloss finishes (the spine is), but it works with this movie.

GER - Cliffhanger
Matte finish. Printed back. Internal artwork



TW - Jack Reacher
Super Hi Gloss finish. Slipcover covering top 1/3 (hiding embossed work)



UK - Entertainment Store LE 1000 - Hansel & Gretel
Matte finish with gloss characters with embossed title with added hi gloss.

I think you have to say that there has been some effort put into these, although it does look like the front and the rear art of the Batman Forever steelbook is the wrong way around

Thanks very much for the pictures, mattyl149! Great artwork, although I'm still baffled (and annoyed) by the decision not to use the emblem on the front of Forever. I can't grasp the thought process behind that one.
