Yes, despite the questionable inclusion of a few films (To Catch a Thief, Nighthawks) and some awful music ("I'm rootin' for the shaaaark!"), the doc is an extremely entertaining 'greatest hits' clipfest that includes many films that will otherwise never see the light of day in 1080p. Even if you already own the Scream disc, if the Universal one ever drops to, say, $6.99 or below, it's worth buying just for Terror in the Aisles.

It also has a superior transfer.

I ended up double dipping on the Scream for the extras (TV cut, alternate/extra/deleted scenes, etc) and the availability of the lossless stereo mix.

I received mine today and i can confirm it came with the slip. Unfortunetly it was mailed in one of the most flimsy mailers i have ever received and there was a thumb hole size puncture torn through the cardboard, the slip cover and tearing into the blu ray cover even. Doubt i will buy from these guys again if this is what they send orders through the mail in.

Mine arrived yesterday and it was pristine - truthfully, I have never seen a blu-ray package look this perfect. No dents on the corners, no light scratches (due to simple transport and shuffling) on the slip - this blu-ray looked like it came straight from the factory to me.

The reason I am telling you this is to SEND IT BACK! I will agree their shipping packaging leaves much to be desired. I also received the "cardboard sandwich" and the glue had given way so I could see the entire spine clearly, which made me almost pull it out with closed eyes. For $9.93, I thought I was going to get something that looked like it was thrown out of a moving car or, no lie, the 30th Anniversary Disc thinking it was a misprint (of course, I would have kept it and re-ordered for "Terror in the Aisles").

Send it back. Trust me, they have pristine copies and you deserve one.

Well, it's NOT a STEREO track, which means this disc does not have Halloween II's original theatrical Dolby Stereo mix, in lossless PCM or otherwise. I just got it on Monday and the DTS-HD MA 2.0 track is indeed MONO. When I played it with Dolby Pro-Logic and Dolby Pro-Logic II Movie, there was no sound coming from the front left or front right speakers, nor was there any surround sound. Everything came from the center channel speaker, typical of a mono track. By comparison, the paltry 192kbps Dolby Digital 2.0 track on my Universal DVD I bought years ago has sound coming from all speakers, with good front channel separation and surround activity.

So not only did Shout Factory not tell me the truth in their e-mail to me, but almost all reviewers across the internet who reviewed this disc and the 2.0 track, including this website, apparently can't tell the friggin' difference between a mono track and a stereo one. Absolutely frustrating.

So for any of you who like to listen to a movie with its original soundtrack like me and you want this movie and haven't gotten it yet, get the Universal disc instead.

Very interesting information. I have both versions myself but I haven't watched the Shout Factory version yet, since I had already seen the Universal one not long before I bought the Shout Factory disc. So then the Universal disc has the better audio then if you want the stereo track, since Shout Factory is mono?

It's too bad that pro review sites gets things so screwed up. You trust them for accurate reviews but they screw up the details all the time. One site lied about Lifeforce and said both theatrical and international extended versions share the exact same quality, even though that's totally wrong because the theatrical cut is MPEG-2 1080i, with a lousy soundtrack. In fact this very site got some of the disc stats wrong for that title. How hard is it for these sites to do their homework and verify disc stats? But then why would highdefdiscnews give the audio rating such a high mark if the 2.0 track should have been stereo but instead it was mono? Shouldn't it have lost points for that?

Even worse is that Shout Factory can't even tell the difference.

yes, it looks like I will be opening a case against them... to no surprise to me they have not responded to my emails.

I just watched my copy today and I'm very satisfied with the transfer. Count me down as however many before me. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the lack of subtitles/closed captions. I don't have a hearing problem but I always watch my films with the subtitles.

Shout has only recently started to include ENG subtitles with their blu-rays. All of the Scream Factory releases have them, except for Halloween II and III, and Ninja III. I think it comes down to cost/budget--they include them when the budget allows. That said, I'm not sure why H2 and H3 were released without subs.

I ordered Halloween III Shout factory from amazon back in February and it came with a slip So I am going to order and take my chances. If it doesn't, it will go back.
