I also realised this but if you click on the link and go to the Amazon preorder page it in fact leads you to the correct movie. Give it a shot, someone has screwed the listing up on blu-ray.com

Okay first attempt:

Want to do a Nordic release catch up. 80sfanboy tell me if I do something wrong.

Arne Dahl. 3 seasons available (I own 2)

Brutal. If you like Braquo get them on order. Swedish release purchased from Ammy UK.

Bron

Good family fun. (kidding) A must view. Ammy UK

Borgen

No action. All politics. Wasn't sure about this one. It was very fine. At the end I wanted more. Captivating. Ammy UK

Jackpot

Pure fun. Ammy UK

Jägarna 1 + 2

Very hard to get but sooooooooo worth it. Must get part 1 from Sweden (English Friendly). Part 2 from the UK (English friendly). I ended up getting this box set. Ordered part 2 from the UK and threw away part 2 from the box set. I wanted the nice slip cover. Very, Very good. So to be clear. This boxset has the first as English friendly however the second is not (labeled wrong on box). Must get part 2 from the UK.

Napapiirin sankarit

Just so funny. Buy from Finland.

Pussikaljaelokuva

So different. Stays with you long after finished. Very funny. Buy from Finland.

Rööperi

One of the best viewed this year. Think The Godfather Nordic style. Guy's OOP. Good luck. Well worth the hunt. Possible buy from Finland.

Vuosaari

Hard hitting. I cried. Drama so good. Buy from Finland.

This will go nice with local release of Enter the Dragon

These movies are awesome. Kind of an educational Finding Nemo.

"42" IMDB 7.2 Synopsis: The life story of Jackie Robinson and his history-making signing with the Brooklyn Dodgers under the guidance of team executive Branch Rickey.

The Silence: IMDB 6.7 Synopsis 13-year-old Sinikka vanishes on a hot summer night. Her bicycle is found in the exact place where a girl was killed 23 years ago. The dramatic present forces those involved in the original case to face their past.

(THIS IS THE UK RELEASE) TV Series called: Orphan Black: Season One: IMDB 8.2 Synopsis: A streetwise hustler witnesses the suicide of a girl who looks just like her and falls headlong into a deadly mystery.

A Band Called Death: IMDB 8.0 Synopsis: A documentary on the 1970s punk trio Death, and their new-found popularity decades after they disbanded.

(ALSO AVAILABLE IN UK) The Iceman!!! Sounds excellent. IMDB 7.1 Synopsis The true story of Richard Kuklinski, the notorious contract killer and family man. When finally arrested in 1986, neither his wife nor daughters have any clue about his real profession

Behind the Candelabra: IMDB 7.1 Synopsis Based on the autobiographical novel, the tempestuous 6-year relationship between Liberace and his (much younger) lover, Scott Thorson, is recounted. Matt Damon and Michael Douglas

Huh.

Amazon's Criterion sale appears to have ended, but B&N has commenced a Buy-2-Get-1-Free sale on Blus and DVDs.

More expensive on individual titles than Amazon, but Criterions hover around $30 or so, so still close to $60 for 3 titles.

I love those sales. The Amazon one was obviously better per title but it's still good enough

I'm gonna go ahead and get The Killing when I come back from my trip. $100 is a little steep but it's 3 seasons and essentially 40 hours of entertainment which is a good deal to me :P

Never heard of The Bridge, looks interesting.

Both of them are a given. They are just sooooo good. You got the idea, The Killing is 38 hours long. So in a way it is inexpensive. I have 4 episodes to go.

Pretty pricey still, but the die hard fan might bit:

A couple of older titles:

Kiss Goodbye Tomorrow IMDB 7.0 Synopsis: Starting with a violent prison break, clever, ruthless Ralph Cotter corrupts everyone around him.

Flat Top (Eagles of the Fleet) IMDB 6.4 Synopsis: Group Commander Dan Collier, on an aircraft carrier in Korean waters during the Korean War, starts to think back to the rough days of the air-war against Japan during World War II,

The Company You Keep
(MASSIVE STAR LINEUP) IMDB 6.3 Synopsis: A former Weather Underground activist goes on the run from a journalist who has discovered his identity.

Into the White (Cross of Honour) IMDB 7.0 Synopsis: Norway, WWII: A group of British and German soldiers find themselves stranded in the wilderness after an aircraft battle. Finding shelter in the same cabin, they realize the only way to survive the winter is to place the rules of war aside.

Stand Up Guys IMDB 6.5 Synopsis: A pair of aging stickup men try to get the old gang back together for one last hurrah before one of the guys takes his last assignment - to kill his comrade.

(HAS UK RELEASE) Promised Land (Matt Damon) IMDB 6.5 Synopsis:
A salesman for a natural gas company experiences life-changing events after arriving in a small town, where his corporation wants to tap into the available resources.

The Details IMDB 6.1 Synopsis: When a family of raccoons discover worms living underneath the sod in Jeff and Nealy's backyard, this pest problem begins a darkly comic and wild chain reaction of domestic tension, infidelity and murder.

(THIS IS THE UK RELEASE) Tabu (Tabou) IMDB 7.3 Synopsis: A restless retired woman teams up with her deceased neighbor's maid to seek out a man who has a secret connection to her past life as a farm owner at the foothill of Mount Tabu in Africa.

Toys in the Attic IMDB 6.2: Synopsis A teddy bear, a mechanical mouse, and a marionette join forces to save their kidnapped friend, Buttercup the doll, from the denizens of the Land of Evil.

SIDE BY SIDE: (MUST WATCH) IMDB 7.6 Synopsis: The documentary investigates the history, process and workflow of both digital and photochemical film creation.

(HAS UK RELEASE) Sleep Tight IMDB 7.1 Synopsis: You wake day after day to the comfort and security of your home. But how safe is it really?

And now for a couple of spooky ones:

Citadel IMDB 5.3 Synopsis: An agoraphobic father teams up with a renegade priest to save his daughter from the clutches of a gang of twisted feral children who committed an act of violence against his family years earlier.
