Hey Everyone.

Got bad news . Just picked up Sudden Death and Hard Target bluray from Jb Hifi and I'm sad to say Hard Target only has a running time of 99 mins.

So those looking for a directors cut will have to wait until the day Universal Release a propert version.

Will watch tonight and advise on pic and audio.

The pic is 1.85 ratio and sound is DTS HD 5.1

No special features to be found.

Yes, it's region free and contrary to the the 'bad news', it's the longer cut, that was never released in the US. I don't think anyone ever thought there'd be a proper director's cut on there and more fool them, if they did. The 99 minute cut is what we were holding out for.

Is this "Hard Target" you're referring to? Is the longer cut better than the US theatrical release? I never saw the extended version.

The 99 minute cut is the true final director's cut. This is awesome and what all of us have been waiting for.

There was also the initial director's cut/workprint with temp music. And a long workprint/assembly cut without sound effects. And of course the slightly shortened U.S. R rated theatrical cut.

But what we are getting is great!

Yes, thanks for that. I took a look on IMDB, and it seems that the European version did run a couple of minutes longer than the US TC (99 minutes instead of 97)...though it seems some people wanted the 116 minute Woo DC...

Just ordered Hard Target and Sudden Death from zavvi ,they are on the 2 for £11 deal.
They've started at £15 each on amazon.co.uk to £9.99 at sainsburys entertainment to £6.95 each or 2 for £11 before they are even released.
Just AWOL (Lionheart) to go then that's all the Van Damme I want.
