Default Siberia - NBC Show

I watched the first episode of the NBC show "Siberia" tonight quite by accident.

http://www.nbc.com/siberia/

[Show spoiler]This "reality" show is really just a drama, about a reality show gone wrong, with people mysteriously dying.

Each episode premieres Monday Night.

I found s/t very suspicious about the premise of the show.

The contestants of the show are dropped off in Siberia, at a remote 'camp' with two cabins, without their self-packed survival bags.

So, without restrooms and other basic necessities, I don't see how they'd survive. The unsantiary contitions could doom them quickly.

they're running out of ideas

"hey lets make another reality show but we got too many of those already so lets make an original program about a reality show"

I'm fairly confused about this show. Ran across it by accident also.

Is it a scripted show about a reality show? Or a reality show where they are purposely trying to screw with the contestants?

Either way, it just all seemed silly. Doubt I'll be watching another episode.

It is a scripted horror show about a reality show.

I will still give it a chance but was not crazy about the first episode.

They have shelter and everything (except food) that those people would have had back in the day. As for restroom there should be an out house. Also it kind of reminds me of a reality show here called "La ruée vers l'or" last year a show where 10 contestants had to be dressed and travel across country with 1898 equipment all the way to the Klondike the same way the people did in the gold rush http://tva.canoe.ca/emissions/emissi...s-lor/concept/

So its not an actual reality survival show?

If that's the case I want even bother watching it. I'll just delete it off my DVR. I thought it was a reality show to see whch of the contestants had survival skills something along the lines of Ted Nugent's Wanted: Ted or Alive on Sportsman channel.

THe "credits" at the end of each episode give details about where it was filmed, etc.

I say they are all actors. Some worse than others.

did you not see the advertisement/trailers? do you believe that society has devolved to the point where really bad things (i.e. deaths) can happen to the contestants and it would still air and be advertise as that?

I didn't see the advertisments. I just ran across it when it started.

It all seemed very fake so I figured it was a reality show that was purposefully trying to mind**** the contestants.... which would have been a much more entertaining show to watch.

If you want to watch a reality program in which they don't coddle the participants, see Naked & Afraid. They stick two naked people in a remote location together with no supplies. There have been numerous medical issues arise in the first few episodes, as people have dropped tens of pounds and developed severe illnesses in the 21 days of the show.

Anyone watching this anymore? Is it bad that I actually kind of like it? Nothing groundbreaking and the characters are mediocre, but I think the mystery aspect is somewhat well done thus far. I am curious where it's going. I know it will only last one season, whcih is fine, but I wouldn't mind it going on.

I'm hooked, and I look forward to it more than that Dome show

I just want to see where this goes.

As do I. Not sure why exactly. I like the pacing and the mystery aspect keeps me intrigued. What the hell is going on exactly? I just hope it's not a cheesy revelation.

I am still watching it, the mystery is a bit interesting . I think it has some tough competition with under the dome, but that is what PVRs are for. Why choose?
