Discussions of politics/religion - Blu-ray Forum

The policy is in place for a reason. People come here to discuss Blu-ray related topics, not politics or religion. Those particular subjects are divisive issues that add very little to this website. There are other forums on the web if you want to discuss those topics.

Religion and political issues ARE discussed in relation to BD movies here. It is a fine line to walk. One must be carfull to keep it relevant to the movie topic at hand though. Not easy to to always. Veering off to personal preferences on each issue cause thread closures.

I understand the OP's frustration as there have been several topics about religion I have read on this board that required some strength on my part to not ring in on. Unfortunately this site is frequented by some real morons, and its best to just leave certain topics taboo, so as to create a place of amiability.

Agreed. This goes for some of the political posts as well. There are other forums that accept that kind of back and forth. I agree things can be discussed (movies with religious or political undertones) carefully and still be allowed. But it's tuff when said 'morons' are so apt to add their threadcraps.
