Scream Factory Blu-ray Discussion Thread

Ordered The Fog from dvdworldusa.com. First time ordering from them. Havent seen this movie in a long long time

F/X + F/X 2 Double Feature? Yay or Nay?

Even though I really have no interest in the X-Ray/Schizoid double feature (maybe I'll change my mind but eh..I dunno), the one thing that I really appreciate Scream Factory doing is pairing films together that share at the very least a common theme or plot device. A good number of companies slap together two completely unrelated films and expect the consumer to jump for joy. So Scream Factory once again gets full marks for actually putting love and care into their double feature releases. I'm definitely looking forward to future releases.

I'd be game for an F/X double feature, those are fun movies... but probably not Scream Factory material.

I think their panels are on 7/19.

Their panel's on 7/19, which means we'll get the announcement either really late friday evening or very early saturday morning.

They said they may not do any other 'slasher' movies, including an upgrade of Visiting Hours and Bad Dreams which they confirmed they were discussing, if it doesn't sell well.

That would rule out a lot of good horror movies, in my opinion.
Slashers are a staple of the genre.

I know I'm picking it up regardless.

Other than THE FOG and IMM, July has basically sucked for Blu-rays so as much as I hate the month of August I'm looking forward to all the goodies Shout has to offer during the month of sweat and misery

I haven't seen him post that he'll be going, but I hope he does. Either way, he could still post the announcements, as he knows most(if not all) of them anyway. I'm sure he'd love to get that info, he's been carrying around for months now, off his chest.

He'd likely only know the leftover MGM and Taurus titles and not anything newer. He got the heads up back in Nov, before the 2nd Universal deal and any newer deals we don't yet know about.

I'm sure Jeff will post on the Scream Factory Facebook page within the hour of the announcement, as you guys know he's a terrific marketing director so I'm sure he's aware how many other Scream fans are dying for these announcements that won't be in attendance. Keep your eyes peeled!

I'm sure Shout's Facebook will be updated that weekend. I have a feeling (aka hope) that the next box set (s) of Power Rangers will be announced. Just a hunch though.
