I like the Beware Batman uniform. Its less like the current trend of having him in armor. I have no problem w/ the "new Alfred" either. It really extra kid friendly and has the same style as the Green Lantern series. And Im cool with them avoiding The Joker, Penguin, Scarecrow, and all the other Rogue Gallery regulars too. Brave And The Bold ran through most of his main villains and B & C listers. New is cool...ill see where it goes. I couldnt get into The Batman(2004-08) series at all. |

Those would be great as well...but I'm going under the "Rome wasn't built in a day" ideal, and taking baby steps here with WB.
I'm thinking that since there won't be a live action DC movie for another 2 years, now would be a great time to focus on getting all these classics out. At least that' what the fan inside me thinks. ![]() |

We just got my 4 year old Season 3 on DVD to complete the whole series for her. She LOVES the show and goes around saying Batman is her boyfriend. My 6 year old likes it as well.
I think we'll stick with the DVD's though. I don't need it on Blu that bad. |

This really excites me. I loved Brave and the Bold, and I really, really hope that this opens some doors for some of the other DC animated shows. The obvious candidates after this would be Young Justice and Green Lantern, as well as JLU (to finish off the Justice League series/since it's also fairly recent). I'm not sure about older stuff, like Batman and Superman, as I'm not really informed on the ins and outs of how those shows were created, and I hear various conflicting things. Does Warner Archives ever heavily restore certain things?

There is a possibility that Teen Titans Go! might see a BD release, but most older fans aren't happy with it. |

You know, with them doing Season 1 of this, and TAS on sale on Amazon all week, I wonder if they are testing the waters to see if Batman tv animation would sell on Blu. I know we already have JL and some other stuff, but no Batman series. Hmmm...

I don't want to wait seven years like it took with Disney to finish Gargoyles... They just recently released Gargoyles Season 2, Vol 2 as a DVD exclusive via their Disney Movie Club. (No word on Goliath Chronicles yet...) fitprod |

This is really more of a replacement for Batman: The Animated Series hitting BD than some grand move to ultimately release that show on BD. Batman: The Brave and the Bold was animated in Hi-Def and already had finished 1080P masters in place, the only reason this show was considered for Blu-ray.

This is great plus it gives me hope we will eventually also see Young Justice and Green Lantern the animated series Blu-Rays as well. For all three series I have held off because I refuse to support giving high def the shaft since all three series were natively animated in high definition
