I like Spider Man 2, but I can't justify buying ANOTHER version of the movie where the frame size is wrong, but the picture supposedly looks different.

Which one, Ghostbusters or Spider-Man 2? (Maybe both? )

I meant Spider-Man 2 but now that you mention it, IMO you could just as easily say the same for Ghostbusters.

*Cue the SM2 and GB fans torching me

The old transfer looks "too hot", but the new one looks too soft.
I can't imagine those screenshots are labeled correctly. The poster mentioned that "resolution has been greatly improved" when the shot labeled as the 4k image looks the exact opposite of that description.

For ****'s sake, you're comparing CAMERAPHONE pictures. I thought people were bad enough judging the fubar caps that certain members have been putting up lately, but arguing about snaps of the screen takes us right back to the darkest days of DVD Beaver (not that their actual grabs are that much better ).

Precisely. I even stated that they were taken on a smartphone and strictly there to show colour differences.

But, ya know... lol

Let's wait for proper online screenshots first before we come to any conclusion.

Speaking of screenshots, is there any yet online for the new editions of Men In Black, Godzilla and Spider-Man 2?

I've been waiting for MiB screenshots to see if I should spend the extra money on the new version. Surprised there are none out there yet.

I got Moneyball basically because I'm a massive fan of it and not expecting a huge difference over the original release which is more than fine. I'll be able to watch it tomorrow and post some impressions.

Even so in regards to the colours as a point in reference, the pic of the Mastered in 4K version has a even worse blown out magenta/pinkish tint then the original version by the looks of things.

I received Godzilla yesterday. Watched a few scenes and it does look really good. No EE or DNR to found, and grain is intact. It doesn't look as crisp as the newer releases, but still looks great for an older title. I haven't seen the previous BD release for this title so I have nothing to compare it to. No special features whatsoever...just the movie.

Also, I posted an unboxing on Youtube. Link below:
