I'm really glad I got my order in before all the price jacking....looks like they're using the Zavvi business model, next up is eBay (which foxconnect already uses a lot!)

Keep one thing in mind... the Con doesn't officially start until this evening, so maybe they were just getting ready before the show started, and just got everything up and listed with correct prices. Doesn't excuse them for putting up incorrect prices or letting them go live early, but maybe they were "testing" prices to see what people would pay?

when i talked to them i could hear other reps in the back cancelling orders. In fact when i was talking to them, i was told they were being flooded with cancellations all morning so they don't have the time to investigate each persons issue and would get back to me. It's very disheartening, but it is what it is.

well i wouldn't say that, i still will need to get them, but ill probably have a friend grab them from SDCC, i have 1700 slipcovers so i have no discipline at all

I really want these too, but i am definitely frustrated especially since i had a multitude of products i was ordering and was treated pretty poorly in my mind. I can usually take a lot of abuse, but rarely like it when people don't say what they mean and mean what they say.

Not sure if I lucked out of not. Did the original order for the 7 titles, but then re-ordered all 9 for virtually the same price once Donnie Darko and Boondock Saints came up as other titles dropped in price. Apparently some, like the Fly, even dropped more after my order, but now all of them have gone up in price. I'm tempted to think this is the "final" SDCC price point given prior info. But who knows? Not to mention, if they don't sellout @ SDCC we might see them discounted again.

I would have done that if they didn't already sent a shipping notice...
They did respond already that I can return it but can't get a partial refund.
Amazon refunds price differences regularly, I don't see how this should be a problem given there was obviously some confusion with the price structure.

Wow! So I step away for a few hours and miss all the excitement!! I knew it!!!
I got my order in for the DD/BS, and my order for the other 7 has a UPS tracking number. This should be interesting!
I'm still not receiving any emails from them, and I checked my spam folder - nothing! It's all listed under "my account" on the Fox Connect site though.

I was going to cancel than reorder but not knowing how limited these were I didn't care to save the 7 bucks.. not a big deal for me

It's probably on my end. Comcast, my ISP, has been pretty wonky the last two days. Which has made trying to keep up with all this stuff, that much more difficult.
Hey if the order gets cancelled, then so be it. I won't lose too much sleep over it. Tracking number looks legit, so I should be good to go!

They said they were shipping UPS Ground, but that sure looks like a USPS tracking # to me. Never seen a UPS tracking # start with all numbers.

The entire Foxconnect.com situation is a joke.
Their website has always has been awful.
Their customer service is completely uninformed and useless.
I was told this morning (10:15 Pacific time) when I called that Donnie Darko & The Boondock Saints were Con exclusives just at the Fox booth...
Then magically they appear on the website priced at $19.99.
Then the prices start fluctuating and some people get deals and others get ripped off.

I sympathize with everyone's problems in trying to order these titles.

Example:

The Fly with Vincent Price released in 1958.
I had no idea a movie from 1958 was really a movie made in the 1990s.

the coverart say 1958 though.. I honestly think the biggest mistake was putting these out earlier than they wanted to.. numerous sites and even them said it was going on sale first day of CC which is tomorrow.. then they showed up yesterday. prices have jumped all over the place today and I think they just weren't expecting people to be buying these like crazy right now.. they underestimated this bigtime! I spoke to a woman in CS and she was a pleasure to speak with, I had no issues, she explained everything to me.. This is the 2nd time I ordered from them (first being skyfall exclusive slipcover) and I will continue to order from them when they have more exclusives that I want

It's not so much about the extra $5 I paid but you'd expect a huge corporation like Fox to be able to deal with errors and act accordingly and not change the prices every hour.
I'm pretty sure the email response I got is automated cause my follow up response was answered within seconds with the exact same syntax as the first one. Guess they might be flooded with complaints.

I think everyone is acting a bit dramatic here. I am sure after I am charged and whatnot I can call and get a price adjustment or refund. If not, no biggie. Even though Fox is a gigantic corporation, the web store is probably ran by 10-20 people. Servers crash and stuff happens, lets stop being divas here.

And that Fly situation, really...really? It's obvious they confused the old version with the Goldblum.

At the end of the day, if I want something, I buy it, move on. Whoever spoke to you forgot who you are and what happened, its just their job. You'll complain all you want, but at the end of the day, you lose out, not them. They'll make their money. No use in showing pride no one will recognize.

Did anyone have Donnie Darko and B. Saints ship yet? That's all I'm concerned with at this point. My other 7 shipped this morning.

Total price I paid was about $160. Would be interesting to see how far over the map some of us are.

None of mine have shipped either, not worried. If they don't go through, meh.

The Fly with Jeff Goldblum was released in 1986.
Still not in the 1990s decade, I think...

Sadly there's no way you can explain away how inept Foxconnect has been at their handling of the situation with the website pricing and customer service.
