A couple of questions though:
1) Is the Glass Slide Set an actual, solid wooden box, or is it going to be some lightly-weighted cheapy hatchet job, or worse-still, plastic?

2) Are either of the two sets Limited Editions? If not, then I may wait until (hopefully) there are some sets left, and the price goes down.
I will just wait for the price to come down before I import it.
If the individual season sets go down to £20 each then I will just get those instead.
The extra disc or the plastic and wooden box set dont do anythingfor me.

ADDENUDUM: Ah to heck with it! Just pre-ordered one of the Glass Slide/Wooden Box Blu-Ray sets!!! My wallet, and my bank, are going to kill me come November... And December, and probably every month thereafter!
Unless you want it that much, you should hold off a while.
I picked up the limited edition complete Lost box set for £45 a year after it came out in the Amazon black friday sale.

$300.99 for blood slide set!?!

Price Tracker...check...this may be a while.
I'm definitely holding off on this set until it has a major price drop. I have all 7, so I may just have to deal with not having the uber set on this one.

Sold my dvds a while ago to upgrade to blu ray, so I'm definitely in for the blood slide set, but only when it's under under $100, so it might be a while. I hope they have a cool set like that for breaking bad too.

They're not out until November, I highly doubt that's the final price.

Since I already have the blood slide box replica, I'll probably end up getting the other one, even though I own the individual seasons. It's worth it.

If you already have the blood slide one, you can answer an important question...
What is the blood slide box made of? (cardboard plastic etc?)

I wasn't referring to the complete series btw, the one I have is made out of wood. I'm assuming the complete series box is pressed cardboard though.

Since (so far) I only really rate about half the series, this seems a bit much for me. But damn, that's nice. And I'm a sucker for Complete Series boxsets.

WOW!!! These both looks so visually appealing, however while I am sure the price will drop slightly closer to release day I simply cannot justify a purchase in November. Have too many pre-orders as it is lol but I definitely would love to get my hands on one of these sometime later on. Since neither are listed as "Limited" editions I am sure they'll be available for a long time to come. Especially considering that the "Harry Potter: Wizard's Collection" was produced as a limited numbered edition set and is still widely available, I am sure these "Dexter" collections will be around for a long while as well. So price tracking here I come! I'll simply re-gift my seasons 1-7 bluray sets ;-D

Hot damn. But look at the price! The "gift set" head, I don't care much for that, but the slide box - awesome idea

Since I don't want any spoilers, zero, just saying good to know when season 8 will be out, thanks. May be back here in November.

I'm probably gonna buy season 8 since I have 1-7, then I'll wait for the complete series box on a gold box deal or something at which point I'll sell my 8 individual seasons. If I time it right I might actually break even or come out a little ahead.

Wow both of those sets are AMAZING. Dexter is my favorite show of all time. Looks like I'm going to need to sell my DVD copies of Seasons 1-7 to upgrade to one of these sets...but which one?!

I've been waiting for a complete series box-set to come out before watching the show. Definitely getting the slide box blood sample thingy
