Personally, I love the idea of the blood slide set. The head one really doesn't do anything for me. I can't relate that to the show.

I prefer the slides also. I've watched the shows as they've aired but haven't bought any of them on BD yet. It seems like a good time to get them now the complete collections are being released. I put a preorder in.

The slide set is now $244.99 but it appears to be the dvd set not the blu ray's. Doesn't mention any blu ray in the description that I could see unless I just missed it.

How come us in the UK never get TV series special editions like this

Oh and I find it a little strange how the better edition, the blood slides is DVD but the blu ray one is different.

That can't be right....surely

I wish FRINGE had a collectors edition...Breaking Bad better get one

Actually Dexter fans in UK have it best. Their blurays have the extras on the disc (not BD Live) and season 4 even has a commentary from Lithgow.

pre ordered . So glad I held off on buying any of the seasons. Def. worth it imo Only question is, where the hell do I put it??? I'm running out of display shelves...or walls for that matter

Damn I hope that is a real wood box, but I am sure the "slides" will just be plastic disc holders, doubt those will really be glass lol.

Sold seasons 1 (DVD),3,5 and 6 for $73 and someone has bid $20 on season 4 so, SO FAR I'm up to $93 saved for a complete collection set. If I can at least sell my season 2 DVD set for $7 and make it an even hundred, I'll be pretty happy.

Really got my eye on the blood slide collection. Ideally I would love to get it for $200 but I can't see that happening. At least not for a while. I've had to become pretty tight with my money since bills and rent are high now.

If a more cost effective and simple box set comes out, I might have to get that instead which sucks because I love dexter.

The blood slides set is cool, but I have the first six solo seasons already, no need to drop that much on something I already own.

love the series. i only own season 1 on blu, so i really really want to buy the slide set. for those w/ experience buying collectors editions...what do you think the chances are of the blu ray set getting to near 160 on black friday/ holiday season?

With amazon, anything's possible, but I wouldn't hold my breath...
