Default Mr and Mrs Smith Dropped Frame Issue

I finally got a chance last night to watch my copy of Mr. and Mrs Smith on blu. However I was shocked to find occasionally it seemed to be dropping frames during some sequences. Has anyone else experienced this (No other title in my collection has ever done this)?

Also it appears the ps3 firmware update to 2.20 still doesn't allow this title to resume where it left off.

I watched this film about a week ago and never noticed any problems. I have an S300, not a PS3.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yeah it is very strange since it doens't happen with any other titles. I rewound it each time it happend to try the scence over and the frame dropped in different places. Very odd.

Picked this one up last week and I watched a couple days ago and was blown away by the image. At no time did I notice any frame jumps or abnormalities.

Have you ever heard of the phenomenon, phantom blink? Tape your eyelids open and watch again.

I might have to try that. Maybe it is just a ps3 issue?

I played mine on the PS3 and I never had any "frame dropping" issues, you may have a bad copy.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Looks like it is a bad copy I guess. Hopefully Best Buy will actually take it back and give me a new one.

If you have receipt, BB is usually good about exchanging for the same title.

never had problems in past, but it seems like even with receipts retail stores are not taking things back...keeping fingers crossed and going tonight.

They won't "take back" any open movies or music.....but they DO "exchange" them for the exact same title for 30 days with a receipt......it's their policy.
