Also, if you look at Scream's past releases, all roads lead to Phantom.
-William Finley=The Funhouse
-Jessica Harper=The Evictors
-Gerrit Graham=TerrorVision
Phantom is coming. Just a question of when.

Cliff said he didn't get it last time, but he probably will now since there is a new FOX president. The old one was married to Jessica Harper and would not let it go during the first deal, he retired at the end of last year.

The question is, did Cliff pick it up yet? I'm sure the new president wouldn't mind. He probably has no interest in a random movie that has never really had much attention from FOX.

Yay! Announce it tonight please, Cliff, or Jeff, or Sean, or Adrienne Barbeau.

I wouldn't be surprised if it made the December slate.

not to pee in someone's pool.... but with the exception of THE SENTINEL....these movies seem so unexciting compared to the great releases so far...

I mean The Howling, The Funhouse, Terror Train, They Live, the Psycho and 2Halloween sequels, The Vincent Price set....

and now we're pumped for 2 of Wes Craven's weakest efforts and a largely forgotten sequel to Rocky Horror???

Don't be a downer, man. Shock Treatment's always a good time. I like it considerably more than The Funhouse.

I agree, I think people are starting to under-estimate Scream Factory. I would be very disappointed if their slate consists of some lower tier Wes Craven material. Granted they can't consistently push out total classics like The Howling or They Live but there's some great stuff waiting for high definition release much better than some of the lists here. I trust Cliff et al know what they're doing enough to not settle for iffy stuff. Fingers crossed for gold.

That's entirely your opinion, and with the current deals in place, these are more than likely what will be announced, maybe not tonight though.

Studios like Universal, usually only do deals for about $250,000 or more, so Prince of Darkness isn't alone, this being a different deal from the one that brought Halloween II and The Funhouse, etc.

So, these are titles that will sell being linked to larger franchises and cast/crews, make money for Shout, and make Shout produce more films. Its a fact that these or titles similar, will be announced at some point, quite possibly tonight.

Shock Treatment and Phantom of the Paradise were both titles cliff himself has said would be welcomed releases when/if they hand them over.

It's not us underestimating it. It's just different tastes.

Maybe it's just me but i feel like for CC they would announce some pretty big titles instead. Ones that more people know. But that's just me.

not trying to be a downer... it's just until some new deals are reached (as I'm sure there will be for the full slate of 2014 titles)... these "possibilities" just aren't that exciting to me.

Agreed. I'm sure these films have a nostalgic value for many but they're pretty poor in themselves. The Craven films are mediocre at best and THE SENTINEL is a total POS.

None of the Scream titles are exactly Citizen Kane, but the fact is, evidence suggests they will be Universal or Fox, possibly MGM if they made another deal in the mean time.

What are your guesses, if I might ask?

I think that list is sensible, but the negative responses all come down to taste.

The fact is it's smarter speculation to think they would release People Under the Stairs before Fright Night II or Without Warning.

Not that they would'nt be fantastic choices, but they would'nt make a ton of sense.

I think I already posted on that.... but pretty much the same titles that everyone else is guessing... based on process of elimination.... so many titles have been ruled out (again, at least for this year)

I would be super excited to have WITHOUT WARNING since I've never seen it.
I would welcome The Sentinel and Serpent And The Rainbow as I like those...

I believe that Cliff denied Serpent.
