Technically, yes, but BFI is usually below when it comes to extras.

The Criterion release of Seven Samurai is a thing of beauty.

Perhaps the design augurs the extent of extras. Lean.

[Show spoiler]
That looks different to the typical BFI package. Is it a slipcase, slipbox or a digipack?

Mine shipped from Amazon today, looking forward to getting this. Genuinely happy to have picked up the Limited Edition version.

It's a slipcover, they did the same for the LTD release of Deep End.

The film is the most important thing, extras are...well...extras I'm just happy that I can finally get the movie on Blu-ray. (I don't have a region free player).

BFI are really slow at setting up pre-orders which is quite frustrating. I want to see what the Seven Samurai amaray will be like (it might be dual format which would interest me) and also still waiting to see when Aguirre, Wrath Of God or The Enigma Of Kaspar Hauser will be released - they keep announcing things and then go silent for months on end! Aguirre is one of my favourite films and I can't wait to own it!

I'm not sure about the region-free status, but the 3 disc edition had a bonus DVD, with a Q&A session with John Moulder-Brown and Jane Asher, and the reissue trailer (this one: )

Good luck finding a copy of the 3 disc edition though, it was limited to 1000 copies, and it sold out soon after release.

Deep End was the first Flipside release I bought. I didn't realise at the time how limited it was, and glad I got the three disc version

The limited edition of The Killing of a Chinese Bookie is also limited to 1000 copies, and also includes a bonus DVD. Better pick it up soon, it already vanished from several online stores (Amazon.co.uk, for example, isn't selling it directly anymore).

And good luck with Deep End, it's a lovely release, for a lovely film.

As it should be obvious by the context of my reply, I was obviously referring to Deep End, since that is the release SolidBlu is looking to find.

And I do know Deep Red is an Arrow Video release in the UK, but thank you for pointing that out.
