We should email fox to request them to produce more copies. Maybe even release them as best buy exclusives.

Well, regardless of whether they sell out online, 20th Century Fox says they'll only be on sale there through the con. On Monday they all disappear. Now, I imagine they show back up around Christmas if they have stock left over, but still.

I absolutely don't hope they make more. I was burned on the Bender Head. I still can't believe I spent $220 on that thing, only for them to put the exact same product (just non-numbered) out to the general public for half that. It'd be so easy for Fox to bring non-branded versions of these somewhere as a store exclusive, as mentioned...but fingers crossed, they won't.

I just placed my order for the only ones I actually wanted. Thought they were kinda pricey but what the hell they are exclusives.

Did anyone else get their copy of The Fly? I got mine today (along with Fight Club [Fight Club works just fine]) and it won't play. It choppily plays the 20th Century Fox logo and then freezes on a black screen. Ultimate sad face. Gonna try and see who I can contact about a replacement. Fingers crossed. If you got one, definitely check it.

Oh no that's no good. What BD player do you have that you tried them on?

My region free Insignia and my Sony laptop Blu drive. The laptop drive doesn't even recognize it as a disc being in it. I've never had any issues with anything with the Insignia before. Fight Club actually works just fine. It even still has the "Easter Egg" menu.

This absolutely sucks. And of course FoxConnect's "Contact Us" isn't working right now either.

Damn that does suck. I really hope I don't have that problem when mine come in. The only BD player I have is the Sony S5100 and I have never had any problems playing anything with any Sony player I have ever owned. It sounds like a bad disc.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Hopefully it'll be a quick fix and they'll ship another one out. Fingers crossed. I haven't seen anything else online anywhere of anyone else having a problem, so hopefully mine was just a fluke. Go figure the blu-ray reviewer gets a bad one. Haha!

For the record that's just what I do. I bought these discs straight up. Didn't want to come off like some douche complaining about free stuff. Heh.

Just opened my Fly to check...haven't watched it, but it loads and starts just fine on my PS3.

Not after they were advertised as exclusives to SDCC and FoxConnect and I dropped $20 apiece on them, no. That's the whole point of an exclusive; that's it's special and limited.

would we want to do that? It defeats the concept of owning an exclusive and a "limited" edition, even when we don't know HOW limited the run is!

agreed! the whole point of exclusives are the fact that they are exclusives.. members from Canada should know this by now with FS Drive

Just curious did you notice any damage to the bottom of the disc? Very unrelated, but I just received 2 damaged discs from Netflix, and the both had a bizarre indentation in about the same spot. I say bizarre because you couldn't see it straight on, you had to reflect light off the disc(holding it at an angle). I assumed it to be a pressing problem, despite Netflix sending discs in mailers, as usually if it's shipment related damage it's a crack in the disc itself.
Perhaps this might be the case with your disc?

That is a good idea, but no damage appears to be present. Sucks about those Netflix discs you got. I did finally get through to someone on Fox's end so hopefully a replacement is on the way. I've seen quite a few others that had no problem with theirs, so hopefully mine was just a fluke.
