Packaging annoyance

I recently have seen a trend that I find annoying.

In this case quickly opened my new Jack Reacher Blu-ray combo pack. Grabbed at the disk that is displayed in the case and wonder for a bit why the picture that comes up is so inferior. Take I look in the case and discover the Blu-ray is packaged in the case on the left under all the paper stuff, and the copy I popped in is the DVD. Not immediately obvious on my TV as the Blu-ray player automatically does an upgrade of DVD to 1080p.

PLEASE vendors package the main Blu-ray or Blu-ray 3d on the right side as the top disk displayed.

Ummmm..... I can see where that might be annoying, but easily rectified by reading the label of the disc. (I really hope this isn't coming off smart alecky, as that isn't my intent) It's just, there are many, many, MANY other things in the world one can get upset over.

This happened to me once, almost. I was about to pop the dvd in then looked at the disc. Then I simply moved the dvd behind the inserts and the BD to where it should be, problem solved.

I can understand your frustration but it's pretty easy to tell which one is the blu-ray version. I think you were just so excited to see the movie you grabbed whatever disc was easiest to get to

I've noticed this before as well, but I always simply switch the discs.

If the packaging is too much of an annoyance, then I recommend taking the DVD disc to a Goodwill or another comparable thrift store so that people less fortunate will have the opportunity to watch the movie for a dollar or two, and you can then simply enjoy the Blu-ray disc without the confusion that makes our already difficult lives even more unbearable.
