Well there are more special features in the German Special edition than there are in the UK edition (commentary, trailers, special effects, etc.). I am going by the back cover btw, since I have not actually seen them. As for the transfer it seems to be the same, except the UK has English subs and the German has only German subs. Plus the German one comes with a (cool :P) slip cover.
