Cliff, does Scream just honestly not care that this guy has flat-out stolen literally dozens of images and entire designs, and that ample proof exists proving this? Does it really not matter at all? As I said in the Body Bags thread, if Scream are stuck with a pre-existing deal/pre-printed packaging, that's one thing, but to actively assign Osbourn more work after the scandal is, in a word (and this is from someone who rarely swears here) BULLSHIT.

People wring their hands over dented slipcovers, lack of titles that Scream doesn't (and/or can't) get the rights to, missing international cuts that didn't represent the director's intent, and other issues that are basically white-noise nonsense, but this is a move that should be heavily criticized.

everyone deserves a 2nd chance. if this guy really didn't think what he was doing was wrong and now realizes it and no longer steals art work then he should get a 2nd chance. has anyone found anything from prince of darkness or body bags that indicates he is up to his old tricks?

I mean clearly the guy has talent. if hes no longer lifting from other peoples work then its ok that scream still pays this guy

I think I came up with the perfect movie for Scream to distribute

Piranha 2: The Spawning. Their original artwork could be amazing!

I'm sure somebody probably already came up with this. I can't be the only one.

Edit: I know it's cheesy but it's also James Cameron's first movie

It is with Sony, so probably no.

That reminds me, though. Is the first Piranha worth a blind buy? I love Joe Dante and am genuinely curious. Gremlins is my favorite film of all time, with The Howling and The burbs close behind. In fact, I've only been disappointed by Innerspace and Looney Toons.

I'd buy the hell out of it, and Sony does part with some of their titles on occasion, so it's worth a shot. Love my Piranha BD!

Cliff said that Sony would most likely be willing to work with Shout but that they don't want to spend money on films when Sony won't let them produce new special features...

Sony allows the porting over of existing extras but in the case of Piranha II there were no extras. I think if Shout were able to license this film and others, if we got the film in widescreen and completely uncut that would be enough since the DVD is so lacking. An upgrade to Blu is an extra in and of itself when it comes to Sony

Sony has the rights to the original, Disney has the rights to the 2011 remake and Fox has the rights to the 2013 remake sequel. No help there.

Artisan (now Lionsgate) was the last known company to hold home video rights to the film, but their 2003 DVD went OOP shortly after it was released, so it's possible they no longer have those rights either.

Paramount has the TV rights to Fright Night Part 2 (and, as you mentioned, it has aired in HD), but it's not known if they have any additional rights or not.

I don't mean to spam this post, but just in case someone missed it I'm very curious about whether and answer has been found or not.

I think it's either with Lionsgate, or Vista (production company). As zbinks previously said, the tv rights are presumably with Paramount (that pesky HD broadcast).

I hear ya here. It's not even in the proper aspect ratio until the very end right before for the end credits. The movie itself on Blu would be just fine.

I would think (hope) with a bit of persuasion they'd just let them produce extras. Facing a hefty check maybe?

Dunno never seen it and Shout didn't release it. Of the RCCC BD's I'm order them like this:

1) Humanoids From The Deep
2) Piranha
3) Death Rath 2000
4) Rock 'n' Roll High School
5) Forbidden World



6) Galaxy of Terror
7) Battle Beyond the Stars
8) Star Crash

I hated Starcrash and loved Death Race, so your list probably applies to me.
