A similar thing happened with their SteelBook release for 'The Goonies'. Initially, the front design had been badly positioned/cropped, but Zavvi later corrected it.

I don't think I could pay that amount for a film that doesn't have a new transfer and has audio issues. I think I will wait and see if Universal re release it when the Legend of Conan comes around...

I cant see it looking too much better really. And yes there are audio issues - its a bit tinny to start with but gets a bit better as the film goes on. Theres a massive Conan thread on the US forum of course. As it is though, the UK one is still the best of a bad bunch overall I think (the US one is a fair bit shorter than the European ones). Yeah the horsefall bit is cut out but thats blink and youll miss it so not important to me.

Ill be getting it even though Ive got the newer amaray already.

1000% I'll be getting this! Hopefully the art was quickly placed on the site and will be centered upon release...but the pro's far outweigh the con's on this, IMO.

Original Boris art on the front(and back I believe)??? How did Zavvi pull THAT off?

Boris Vallejo didn't do the Conan art, it was done by Renato Casaro. Both front and back art on the steelbook is his work (the back being an early sketch of his). The front cover is also an earlier design of the movie poster (holding a severed head, and note that Conan looks nothing like Arnie). Casaro's finished poster (see below) is much better and I wish they'd use it for the steelbook. I pray to Crom that they sort this out.

Ah, I always thought it was Boris!
I fine with either, as to me, they both look good. Actually I prefer the one they have now(the earlier design) because it looks much more like the comics, and original book covers, which came before Arnie.
